Pescatori Doubles Through Lindgren

Level 16

Razz

Erick Lindgren{A-}{6-} / {3-}{6-}{k-}{J-} / {x-}
Max Pescatori{3-}{7-} / {6-}{Q-}{8-}{5-} / {9-}

We arrived at the table to find the action capped on third. Lindgren fired out on third and Pescatori called. Pescatori then led out on fifth and Lindgren put out a raise to put the short-stacked Pescatori all in. He called and the hands were turned over to show that Lindgren had paired sixes on fourth. Lindgren failed to beat Pescatori's eighty-seven and Pescatori was able to score a double to around 46,000 in chips.

Brownstein Busts Proulx

Level 16

Stud

Miguel Proulx: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Peter Brownstein: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{a-Clubs}{10-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs}

We're not sure of the action or even of the order of the cards, but we do know that Miguel Proulx was just eliminated by Peter Brownstein in a hand of Stud. Above you can see the cards each player had laid out in front of them.

Whatever the case, Proulx's queens were unable to overcome the aces of Brownstein.

Hansen's Sixes Are Good

Level 16

Limit Hold'em

Gus Hansen raised the button and Adam Friedman called from the big blind. The flop came down {K-Hearts}[qc}{6-Clubs} and Friedman checked. Hansen continued out with a bet and Friedman called. Both players checked the turn of the {5-Hearts} and the {7-Spades} rivered. Friedman fired out and Hansen called.

"I've got a jack," remarked Friedman.

"...Jack-high?" asked Hansen, looking at the board and showing {A-Spades}{6-Spades} for a winning pair of sixes. Hansen took down the pot and now has about 95,000.

Merivirta Sends Selbst to the Rail

Vanessa Selbst

Stud

Vanessa Selbst: {a-Spades}{6-Hearts} / {3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades}{6-Spades} / {3-Clubs}
Jyri Merivirta: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} / {9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds} / {10-Spades}
Jeet Shetty: {q-Spades}{6-Diamonds} / {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{9-Clubs} / {4-Clubs}

We didn't catch the action, but we do know that Vanessa Selbst was all in early on while Merivirta got the last of his chip on on either fifth or sixth. Whatever the case, Merivirta caught the {10-Spades} on seventh to make a straight and send Selbst to the rail. Shetty was left with just 9,500.

Dalby's Comeback Falls Short

Level 15

Limit Hold'em

We just watched a series of four limit-hold'em hands that saw Great Britain's Eric Dalby nearly make an amazing comeback.

Hand #1: When we arrived Dalby was down to just two T100 chips and committed them dark from the hijack. Eric Wasserson ended up raising from the button and the blinds folded.

Dalby: {a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}
Wasserson: {j-Spades}{7-Hearts}

The board ran out clean and Dalby doubled to 600.

Hand #2: Once again Dalby put it in without looking at his hand and action folded to Marcel Luske, who called by default as he was the big blind.

Luske: {k-Spades}{6-Clubs}
Dalby: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}

The board ran out {2-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and Dalby made a flush to get up to 1,800.

Hand #3: Dalby moved in dark from under the gun and Dan Kelly raised to 5,000 from the hijack. The rest of the field folded and Dalby was in trouble.

Dalby: {j-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Kelly: {a-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}

Fortunately for Dalby the board ran out {8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, and in the course of three hands he went from 200 up to 6,700.

Hand #4: Dalby was in the big blind an three-bet all in dark after Daniel Makowsky raised from the small blind. Makowsky called.

Dalby: {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}
Makowsky: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

Dalby woke up with another big hand, but this time he was dominated. Makowsky's pair held as the board ran out {j-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} and the elder statesman wished the table luck before departing.
