Lee Markholt Just Doubled Through Connor Drinan
Lee Markholt Just Doubled Through Connor Drinan

Hand #100: Lindgren received a walk in the big blind.

Hand #101: Markholt raised to 85,000 from under the gun, and the action folded back to Drinan in the big blind. He flatted to see the flop of {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{k-Clubs} hit the table. Both players checked the action flop, and the {4-Hearts} was the turn card. Drinan led out for 80,000, which was enough to earn the pot.

Hand #102: Little opened for 80,000 from under the gun, but mucked when Drinan reraised to 220,000.

Hand #103: Drinan raised his button to 85,000, Markholt three-bet to 260,000 from the small blind, and Little folded his big blind. When the action was back on him, Drinan quickly four-bet shoved to put Markholt all in, and he snap-called for his last 1.28 million.

Showdown:

Drinan: {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Markholt: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}

Drinan tried to bully the man with aces, and his queen-high was way behind. The flop of {6-Spades}{k-Hearts}{8-Spades} left him drawing thin, and the {2-Diamonds} on the turn left him drawing dead. After the {3-Hearts} was dropped on the river, Markholt retook his seat with a newly replenished chip stack awaiting him.

Markholt: {A-}{9-Clubs}

The all in Markholt was ahead with his ace high, and the final board ran out {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{q-Spades}{10-Spades} to give him a straight, and a much needed double.

Markholt bet 85,000 and Drinan stared him down without moving a muscle. He remained fixed in this pose for more than a minute, before finally tossing out the calling chips. On the {2-Spades} turn both players opted to slow down and check, and the {10-Spades} completed the board on the river. Drinan resumed his statue impersonation, staring right into Markholt's eyes for a minute before cutting 165,000 from his stack and moving it forward. Markholt seemed flummoxed by this move, but he eventually called the bet. Drinan rolled over the {K-Spades}{q-Diamonds} for the second nut flush, and Markholt was pained while tossing his {A-Hearts} into the muck.

Hand #86: In the last hand before dinner break, Lindgren opened for 60,000 holding the button, and Markholt defended his big blind. On the {9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{k-Spades} flop, Lindgren bet out and took it down.
