Gully is Ace

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

We arrived at the table to find Andrey Gully open from the button, before being met with a raise from Partyush Buddiga on the big blind. Gull then moved all in for 28,300 and was called as both players tabled their cards.

Buddiga: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Gully: {A-Clubs}{2-Clubs}

The board ran out {9-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs} to see Gully hit his ace on the flop, and earn himself a double-up.

Purvis Purloins a Few from Rettenmaier

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

With the board showing {2-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and about 15,000 in the middle, Black Purvis pushed out a bet of 8,000 from the cutoff seat, sending Marvin Rettenmaier into the tank for a short while as he pondered what to do. Rettenmaier eventually dug calling chips from his stack, held them aloft for several seconds, then let them land on the felt in front of the white dealer's button.

Purvis quickly flipped over {9-Spades}{8-Spades} for the rivered straight, and Rettenmaier exhaled as he slid his cards dealerward.

Chhabra-cadabra

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

With a flop of {9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} already on the table, we saw Roger Chhabra raise Brock Parker's bet of 2,600, making it 5,100 to play.

Parker was not a believer, however, and he threw out a collection of chips equal to a 14,600 reraise. Chhabra then slid a stack of 50,000 forward, and his power play achieved its goal, forcing Parker's hand into the muck.

Eriquezzo Over Little

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

We came upon a hand just now between start-of-day leader Jonathan Little and Ryan Eriquezzo, the latter having recently been moved to Little's table. With a flop of {K-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{A-Clubs} and a small pot already developing, Little had checked from the big blind, Eriquezzo bet 1,800, Little check-raised to 5,500, and Eriquezzo called.

The turn brought the {Q-Clubs}, and Little responded by firing 7,000 into the middle. Eriquezzo called after only a few seconds.

The river was the {Q-Hearts}, and this time Little checked. Eriquezzo tossed out 15,100, and after mulling it over Little called. Eriquezzo tabled {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for the club flush, and Little mucked.

Truthful Calderaro

Level 11 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

We caught the action on a board reading {7-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} with around 11,000 in the pot, and James Calderaro checking from the big blind. David Paredes was under the gun, and bet out 5,100, before facing a raise to 15,600 from Calderaro. He tanked for a few minutes before making the call, before both saw the river come the {6-Spades}.

Calderaro instantly moved all in for his last 22,900, applying the pressure on Paredes.

"You don't bluff right?" asked Paredes.

"Never," replied Calderaro, as he sat there patiently waiting.

"In three years I've never seen you bluff," Paredes added. "The problem is I have two pair."

"Bottom two?" asked Calderaro smiling.

"Probably," responded Paredes.

Paredes then mucked his hand, relinquishing the pot over to Calderaro.

"You folded two pair against him," laughed Tommy Vedes, who was a spectator of the hand during the river action, after recently being eliminated from a nearby table.

Welcome back to Day 2 of the Event #32 $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em (Six-Handed) where Jonathan Little comes back to the largest stack among the 128 players remaining in a field packed with talented players and former bracelet winners.

For example, not far behind Little in second position is 2013 WSOP Asia Pacific Main Event champion winner Daniel Negreanu with hopes of earning himself a sixth WSOP bracelet while adding further to Canada's head-turning total of seven bracelets won through the first 30 events.

Meanwhile Benjamin Reinhart sits in third, with Brian Rast, Justin Smith, Rogen Chhabra, Ryan D'Angelo, Steve Sung, Brock Parker, and Barry Hutter rounding out a formidable top 10.

The top 54 finishers make the cash, so more than half of those returning will be heading railward empty-handed. Meanwhile all are eyeing the $606,317 up top that is scheduled to go to the winner, with only Event #6 $1,500 "Millionaire Maker" No-Limit Hold'em and Event #26 $1,000 Seniors No-Limit Hold'em Championship having awarded larger first prizes at the WSOP thus far this summer.

The six-handed action resumes at 1 PM local time with plans to play 10 more one-hour levels, so come back then to follow all the action. Meanwhile, watch Kristy Arnett catch us up on all of Tuesday's happenings, including the story of Tom Schneider capturing his second bracelet of the summer and fourth of his career in Event #29 $5,000 H.O.R.S.E.
