Ladouceur Caught

Level 7 : 150/300, 25 ante

We missed the pre flop action but saw Marc-Andre Ladouceur bet 675 from the big blind on {4-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{A-Spades}. His opponent made the call, another one folded. Both players checked on the {10-Clubs} on the turn and Ladouceur bet 1,700 on the {10-Spades} river. After ten seconds of thinking his opponent called. "You got it" said Ladouceur who mucked when his opponent showed {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}. Ladouceur still has 4,850 left while his neighbor, Aaron Jones, has more than double that.

"I Don't Like It, But I'm All In"

Level 7 : 150/300, 25 ante
Kyle Julius (photo: event 9)

Kyle Julius opened in middle position and got three bet by his neighbor the hijack. The cut off, button and both blinds folded and Julius made the call. Julius check and then called 900 on {4-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} and checked again on the {3-Hearts} on the turn. His opponent bet 1,600 and Julius contemplated his options.

After a little bit of thinking he said "I don't like it, but I'm all in" before shoving his stack in. "I don't like it either, but I call" said his opponent who opened {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}. Julius was in front with his {A-Spades}{J-Clubs} and both would hit an ace on the river: {A-Clubs}. Julius shook hands with his former opponent and started stacking.

Mark Kroon Back At It

Level 6 : 100/200, 25 ante
Mark Kroon (from Event #26)
Mark Kroon (from Event #26)

Coming off his fifth-place finish in Event #26: $1,000 Seniors No-Limit Hold'em Championship, Mark Kroon is back on the felt hoping to better his finish and get some gold.

Kroon and his sidekick Larry Wright, who finished 26th in that event, entertained the field and rail alike with their fun banter and witty comments. It should be noted they both played some pretty impressive poker to weave their way through that record field of over 4,400 players.

It is currently a little quiet in Kroon's corner but we know from experience that won't last long.

Time For A New Shark

Level 6 : 100/200, 25 ante

Humberto Brenes raised all in from early position for his last 1,575. A player in middle position called and when the hands were tabled, it was race time.

Brenes: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Middle Position: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Apparently, the shark needs to swim a little faster as a ten rolled off on the {10-Hearts}{q-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop. Brenes was looking for a jack but didn't find one on the {9-Hearts} turn or {5-Spades} river and he hit the rail earlier than he would of liked.
