Cody Bets Every Street

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Jake Cody’s opponent was showing two- sixes on fourth street, but opted to check-call a bet. Fifth street came, as he checked again, but beat Cody into the pot with his call.

“There’s no point wasting his time,” said Cody’s opponent, happy to check-call it down.

The same happened on sixth and seventh, before Cody tabled his down cards, having two-pair, which was good for the entire pot.

Jake Cody: {A-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades} / {A-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades}
Opponent: {x-}{x-} / {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{8-Hearts} / {x-}

Kassela KO'd

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante
Frank Kassela
Frank Kassela

Chris Tryba completed and was met with one call before Frank Kassela two-bet. Tryba three-bet and both players called before he bet out on fourth. Kassela raised, Tryba three-bet and Kassela was all in for 900 as the unknown player folded as both player's boards ran out as follows leading into seventh.

Tryba: {A-Hearts}{2-Spades} / {A-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Opponent: {X-}{X-} / {4-Spades}{10-Hearts} (folded on fourth)
Kassela: {J-Hearts}{6-Hearts} / {K-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}

With Kassela spiking his flush and taking one of Tryba's full house outs away, Tryba would flip and slam over his {3-Clubs} on seventh to make a bigger flush then Kassela. With Kassela drawing to the case {A-Hearts}, he would unfortunately only find the {Q-Spades} to end his tournament early as Tryba moved to 17,500 in chips.

Rast Hanging On!

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

We caught the action on fifth street, with Brian Rast showing a pair of eights, and putting out a bet. His opponents called before Rast bet out again. This time he faced a raise, which he and the other player in the hand called. On seventh, Rast and the next player checked, before they faced a raise, which they called.

Rast: {x-}{x-} / {8-Clubs}{5-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Spades} / {x-}
Player 1: {x-}{x-} / {2-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{A-Spades}{7-Spades} / {x-}
Player 2: {x-}{x-} / {2-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{6-Spades}{K-Hearts} / {x-}
