Jake Cody’s opponent was showing two- sixes on fourth street, but opted to check-call a bet. Fifth street came, as he checked again, but beat Cody into the pot with his call.
“There’s no point wasting his time,” said Cody’s opponent, happy to check-call it down.
The same happened on sixth and seventh, before Cody tabled his down cards, having two-pair, which was good for the entire pot.

The player in Seat 1 led on third street and Mike “The Mouth” Matusow called. Matusow then called another bet on fourth street. Both players caught a king on fifth, Seat 1 led again, but folded when Matusow flicked in a raise.
Chris Tryba completed and was met with one call before Frank Kassela two-bet. Tryba three-bet and both players called before he bet out on fourth. Kassela raised, Tryba three-bet and Kassela was all in for 900 as the unknown player folded as both player's boards ran out as follows leading into seventh.

We caught the action on fifth street, with Brian Rast showing a pair of eights, and putting out a bet. His opponents called before Rast bet out again. This time he faced a raise, which he and the other player in the hand called. On seventh, Rast and the next player checked, before they faced a raise, which they called.

The tournament has grown slightly tougher with the late arrivals of Bertrand Grospellier and Todd Brunson.
Both players own a WSOP bracelet, Grospellier's coming in a Seven Card Stud event and Brunson's in a $2,500 Omaha Hi/Low.
Several players have waited till the very end of late registration to enter the tournament including Brian Rast, Alex Kostritsyn, Scott Clements and JJ Liu.
