David Levi Bubbles

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante

David Levi: {X-}{X-}/{4-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts}
Eugene Castro: {X-}{X-}/{2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{A-Spades}

Eugene Castro was the bring-in with the {2-Diamonds} and David Levi completed. Castro defended and check-raised fourth street. Levi called and checked fifth street. Castro bet, sending Levi into the tank before he called. Levi bet all in on sixth street and Castro called, showing {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} for a flush with an 8-4 low draw.

Levi showed {7-Clubs}{6-Spades} for an 8-7 low, needing to fade Castro's draw. However, Castro received the {6-Hearts} on seventh street to make an 8-6 low. Levi needed to make a better low, but the {Q-Clubs} was no help.

Guagenti More Than Doubles

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante

Nick Guagenti had the {4-Diamonds} showing, and moved all in for his last 2,000. Chip leader Matt Vengrin called with the {a-Diamonds}, and all of the cards were opened and the boards ran out like this:

Guagenti: ({8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}) / {4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}
Vengrin: ({k-Spades}{3-Diamonds}) / {2-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{q-Clubs}{a-Spades}

Guagenti made a straight on seventh, but Vengrin could split the pot on seventh with a four, six, seven, or eight. He pulled a second ace, however, and Guagenti more than doubled.

He took down the very next hand on fourth with king-high showing, and now sits with 9,500 chips.

Hellmuth and Leah Chop Idema; On the Money Bubble

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Phil Hellmuth: {x-}{x-} / {5-Hearts}{a-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades} / {x-}
Mike Leah: {x-}{x-} / {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{k-Clubs} / {x-}
Daniel Idema: {x-}{x-} / {a-Clubs}{x-}{j-Spades}{4-Clubs} / {x-}

Leah brought it in, Idema completed, and both Hellmuth and Leah called. Leah checked on fourth, Idema bet, and both Leah and Hellmuth called again. The same action occurred on fifth, although Hellmuth called the hand "tricky" before he called, and on sixth, Leah made kings up.

Thinking that Leah checked, Idema fired out a bet. He then realized his error, pulled his chips back, then tossed them out again when Leah actually checked. Hellmuth called while laughing, Leah check-raised, and Idema called. Hellmuth then raised, Leah re-raised, Idema tank-folded, and Hellmuth capped the action. Leah called.

Leah check-called a bet on seventh, and the hands were opened.

Leah: {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Hellmuth: {3-Clubs}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}

The two chopped the pot, and we are now on the exact money bubble.

Savage and Enright Chop Up Fox

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante

Barbara Enright: {X-}{X-}/{8-Clubs}{3-Spades}{J-Spades}{J-Hearts}
Matt Savage: {X-}{X-}/{6-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Dave Fox: {X-}{X-}/{2-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}

Picking up the action on sixth street, Barbara Enright checked to Matt Savage who bet. Both Dave Fox and Enright called to see seventh street where the same action occurred.

"Straight eight," announced Savage, showing down cards of {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Spades}. Fox flashed {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs} for defeated kings up, while Enright tabled {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} for a better low than Savage.

Enright, though, stood up from her chair and turned around to speak to a friend on the rail. Her hand was turned face down by the dealer, but away from the muck. As Savage was being awarded the entire pot, Enright turned back around and explained that she had the better low. Since the cards were retrievable, and since she tabled her hand, it was worked out without an issue.

Logue Scoops

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante

Gaurav Kalro: {x-}{x-} / {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} / {x-}
Joe Tehan: {x-}{x-} / {a-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{10-Hearts} / {x-}
Jasmine Logue: {x-}{x-} / {5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs} / {x-}

We reached the table on sixth street, where the action checked to Logue and she bet. Both opponents called.

The same action occurred on seventh, but this time only Kalro called. Logue showed {a-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts} for a pair eights and a low, which scooped the pot when all Kalro had was {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} for a worse low.

Jason Mercier: {x-}{x-} / {7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{10-Spades}{j-Spades} / {x-}

After swinging downward heading into the second break, Mercier's opponent check-called bets on fourth and fifth street, and both players checked on sixth. Mercier led out for a bet on seventh, the player called, and Mercier turned over {k-Spades}{3-Spades}{x-} for a flush.

His opponent mucked, and Mercier picked up the pot to push his stack back over 60,000.
