Matros Busts One

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

We arrived at the table on the flop, as Matt Matros faced a bet of 600 with the board reading {k-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. Matros raised to 1,300. His opponent then announced raise, and threw forward one T1,000 chip. The dealer informed him that 1,500 is not enough for a raise, and he'd now be required to put in a minimum raise to 2,000. Matros then moved all in for 4,675 total. His opponent called, and the players revealed their cards:

Matros: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

Matros was well ahead with his set, and his opponent would need a lot of help. He didn't get it, as the turn was the {9-Diamonds} and the {7-Hearts} fell on the river.

Matros has a chance to tie the record of consecutive years with a WSOP bracelet if he wins his fourth in 2013. He's off to a good start in that quest in this event, as he now sits with more than double the starting stack.
