The player op the button opened to 450 and the small blind made it 1,050. Garry Gates in the big blind made it 2,150 to go with {A-}{A-Spades}. The player on the button folded but the small blind had other plans. He pushed all in for 10,000 and Gates made an easy call. Gates was up against {A-}{6-Spades} and all though the small blind made a straight on the river, Gates rivered a flush to double up to 20,000.

According to former neighbor Garry Gates, Peter Jetten just busted with {A-}{J-Spades} versus {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}. Jetten three-bet called of his 4,500 stack and didn't improve. He picked up a spade flush draw on the turn but it didn't materialize on the river. Gates himself plays about 10,000.
