Cremniter Leaves Table After Bad Beat Hand

Level 6 : 100/200, 25 ante

We came up and saw that Simon Cremniter was not in his seat. The reason for that was a bad beat that could very well made him steam and take a walk. He had made a big raise after quite some action by Philippe Bourgoin. Cremniter's opponent took some time before moving all in. Cremniter called and Bourgoin showed his {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}. The table described Cremniter as slowly showing what was {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}.

Cremniter got up from his chair and left the area as he saw the board run out {k-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}. He was not out but the pot was very sizable. We did see him return about five minutes later but he will have to grind his stack to what it was as he went down to 6,000 after that hand.

Ladies Lose for Loeser

Level 5 : 100/200, 0 ante

Manig Loeser was in the small blind when the hand started. An opponent from early position made a raise to 475. The cutoff called. Loeser wanted to bump up the action and made it 1,575 from the small blind. the initial raiser folded but the cutoff called.

The flop came {10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{5-Hearts}. Loeser bet out 1,625. His opponent made the call and the two took a turn of the {j-Spades}. Loeser then moved all in. His opponent instantly called and flipped over {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} for a flopped set. Loeser had the ladies {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} and had one foot out the door. He would need a third lady on the river to stay alive.

The river was the {3-Diamonds} and that ended the day for Loeser as his opponent's flopped set got Loeser's stack.

Let's Go Canada!

Level 5 : 100/200, 0 ante

For some reason one of the rail birds here in Brasilia is walking around shouting "Let's go Canada!" He seems intoxicated but that could also just be the Canadian way of being cheerful. Most players find it amusing and he's still at it right now. Is he referring to the fact that lot's of bracelets have been awarded to Canadian players this summer? Who knows!
