When we arrived the dealer was busy counting Phil Laak's chips. After several counts and recounts, it was decided Bart Hanson owed Laak 35,275. On the table was | | and Laak still had in front of him. With that flush he had beaten Hanson's top set of aces it appeared.
Laak was talking rapidly like we're used of him, but we did pick up that he found his won play in the hand not optimal. Well, that not so optimal play got rewarded, as he now plays a little shy of 75,000.
