Toulson Takes from Raskin

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

Micah Raskin opened for 900 from early position and received a call from Terry Toulson on the button. Bill Perkins, who finished third in Event #47: $111,111 One Drop High Rollers No-Limit Hold'em for $1,965,163, then three-bet to 3,000 from the small blind. The big blind folded, Raskin and Toulson called and the flop came down {q-Clubs}{5-Spades}{8-Spades}, which all three players checked.

When the {6-Spades} turned, Perkins bet 3,000, Raskin called and Toulson came in with a raise to 8,000. Perkins sighed and folded, but Raskin opted to make the call. After the {A-Hearts} completed the board on the river, Raskin checked and then called when Toulson bet 5,000. Toulson tabled the {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} for a turned set and it was good as Raskin simply mucked.

Klodnicki Takes it Easy

Chris Klodnicki (on his way to finishing second in the $111,111 No Limit Hold'em - One Drop High Roller (Event #47)
Chris Klodnicki (on his way to finishing second in the $111,111 No Limit Hold'em - One Drop High Roller (Event #47)

We arrived at the table, with the flopping showing {8-Spades}{3-Hearts}{10-Clubs}. Chris Klodnicki had placed out a bet from under the gun plus one, and found one caller. The {j-Clubs} fell on the turn, as Klodnicki fired out another 3,200 which was called, before both players cautiously checked the {7-Clubs} on the river.

Klodnicki showed his {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}, which was good to take down the pot, after his opponent had tabled his {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} for a lower pair.

Hoff Eliminated

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

The action started with the player seated under the gun opening to 700, and attracting two callers, before Natalie Hoff bumped it up to 2,425 from the small blind. Two of her opponents called, as the flop came down {9-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{j-Diamonds}. Hoff then bet out 5,000, before the player in middle position raised it up to 10,000. The player on the big blind thought for a moment, before releasing his hand, before Hoff made the call for her tournament life.

Hoff: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Opponent: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

Hoff had been outdrawn, but was unable to improve, as the board ran out the {q-Hearts} and {j-Clubs} to see her day end early.

Obrestad Can't Fade The River

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

After a player in early position opened to 600, Annette Obrestad called from the next seat over. The player in the big blind called, too, and the flop came down {8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}. Action was checked to Obrestad and she bet 900. Only the player in the big blind called to see the {A-Spades} turn and he immediately shoved for 9,525. Obrestad mulled it over for about 45 seconds before she called.

Her opponent tabled {10-Spades}{7-Spades} for a flush draw to go along with an open-ended straight draw, though Obrestad tabled {9-Hearts}{9-Spades} and had some of her opponent's outs. However, the {9-Diamonds} landed on the river to give Obrestad's opponent a straight to win the pot and double up.
