Here's a Fun One

Level 3 : 100/200, 50 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu and two other players put in 7,175 each pre-draw in a reraised pot. The first player opted to draw one, Negreanu stood pat, and then the third player also stood pat. After the draw, the first player checked, Negreanu fired 15,600, and the third player went into the tank.

After tanking for a couple of long minutes, the player asked, "What should I do, Daniel?"

"It's a three-way pot, so I can't say," responded Negreanu with a laugh.

"Heck, I know what you have and I'm trying to figure out what I would do," commented Layne Flack from next to the player in the tank.

"I'd tell you, but I don't want to get thrown out of this thing," added Negreanu.

"I want you to get thrown out," said Flack.

After another minute or two, the player folded his hand. The other player in the hand — after patiently waiting, we might add — also mucked, and Negreanu almost jumped out of his seat.

""You want to see a fun hand! Look at this one!" he yelled, before tabling {Q-}{9-}{7-}{7-}{4-}. "I told myself, 'Fuck it, I'm just gonna win this pot!'"

Negreanu scooped the pot while the table got a good laugh and moved to 44,000.

"You have an eight-six?" asked Flack to the player who tanked.

"No, a ninety-eight," the player responded.

"Wow," finished Flack.

Things Get Worse For Chidwick

Level 3 : 100/200, 50 ante

We picked up with the action after the draw to see Stephen Chidwick and Erik Seidel engaged in a hand. With about 5,500 already in the middle, Chidwick pushed forward a bet of 8,500. Seidel called and Chidwick rolled over {A-}{8-}{2-}{2-}{2-} for trip deuces.

Seidel showed a winning {9-}{7-}{5-}{4-}{2-} and scooped the pot. Seidel now sits on 38,400 in chips while Chidwick has been knocked down to just 3,800.

Bakes Doubles Through Chidwick

Level 3 : 100/200, 50 ante
Stephen Chidwick's Stack Cut in Half
Stephen Chidwick's Stack Cut in Half

David "Bakes" Baker was under the gun and popped it up to 600. Action folded to Stephen Chidwick in the cutoff and he cut out a three-bet to 2,200. The button and blinds released, putting action back on Baker. He made a four-bet to 8,600 and Chidwick came right back over the top with a five-bet shove. Baker called for his own tournament life.

At the draw, Baker took one new card and Chidwick stood pat. Chidwick fanned {J-}{8-}{5-}{4-}{3-} for a jack-eight low. Baker rolled up {7-}{6-}{5-}{2-} and was drawing live for his tournament life. He squeezed out a {10-}, making a ten-seven low and securing himself a double up in the process. Baker now has 46,500 in chips while Chidwick has dropped to 17,250.
