Kost Scoops Kassela

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Nicholas Kost opened with a raise from middle position and was called by Frank Kassela on the button and Jim Pechac out of the small blind. The flop came {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Pechac checked to Kost who continued his aggression with a bet. Kassela and Pechac both called to see the {7-Diamonds} turn card. The action was the same — Pechac checked, Kost bet, and both players called.

The river was the {9-Clubs} and it was checked around and Kost scooped the pot with {A-}{K-}{Q-}{2-} for top two pair. Kassela, the 2010 WSOP Player of the Year, slipped to 23,100 after the hand.
