Bucky Busted

Level 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

We saw Shawn Buchanan walking out of the room, which led us to believe he had been eliminated. Sure enough, a check with his former table confirmed it.

From the story that was told, Buchanan opened with a min-raise and action folded to Chris DeMaci, who simply moved all in. Buchanan had approximately 11,000 total and tanked for a bit before calling it off with {a-}{j-}. Unfortunately for him DeMaci held {j-}{j-} and the fishhooks held.

Mizrachi Sends Another to the Rail

Level 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

After a player opened, Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi three-bet and a third player moved all in for 15,000 or so. The original raiser folded and Mizrachi made the call.

Mizrachi: {j-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Opponent: {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

The {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} flop gave Mizrachi a gutshot straight draw, but his opponent picked up a flush draw. Mizrachi has been running well as of late, and this hand was no exception as the dealer burned and turned the {J-Spades}. The Grinder hit a pair to take the lead, and it held when the {3-Spades} blanked on the river.

"Of course he got there as always," Todd Terry ribbed from Seat 1.

Guagenti Applies Pressure

Level 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

A player opened to 1,200 and Nick Guagenti called from the button. The flop was {4-Spades}{j-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Guagenti called after his opponent bet 1,400.

The turn was the {10-Spades} and Guagenti's opponent led for 2,800 and Guagenti raised to 6,675. His opponent put out a three-bet to 14,000 and Guagenti pushed all in and his opponent immediately folded.

Saul Clocked...Twice

Level 8 : 250/500, 50 ante
Kevin Saul
Kevin Saul

Kevin Saul and Andrea Dato tangled in back-to-back hands. First, on a board of {2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}, Saul moved all in, putting Dato's last 11,000 or so at risk. Dato thought for a few minutes before Saul eventually called the clock.

Dato made the call in the middle of his countdown and Saul confidently tabled {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, but he was behind the {k-Spades}{q-Clubs} of Dato. "Why did you slowroll me bro", Saul asked indignantly, as the board finished {5-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}.

"It was no slowroll from me," responded Dato, and they were back at it the very next hand from the blinds when Saul opened to 2,000 from the small blind and Dato made the call.

The flop was {7-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} and Saul bet 2,400. Dato raised to 5,500 and Saul called. The turn was the {a-Spades} and both players checked. After the {4-Hearts} river, Saul led for 3,500 and it was met with another raise from Dato to 8,600 and Saul folded.
