Ryan Olisar Eliminated in 11th Place ($25,164)

Level 23 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Ryan Olisar
Ryan Olisar

Vladimir Geshkenbein opened the betting with a raise from early position and Ryan Olisar responded with a three-bet all-in for 270,000 in total from the big blind. Geshkenbein called to put Olisar at risk of elimination.

Geshkenbein: {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}

Olisar: {2-Hearts}{2-Clubs}

Olisar needed some help from the board to stay in the hunt for a coveted gold WSOP bracelet, but it failed to arrive as the five community cards ran {3-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Spades}{8-Hearts}{k-Hearts} to send Olisar to the rail.

Geshkenbein now has three-quarters of a million chips.

Chip Counts at the Break

Players are now on a 20-minute break.

In the last hand of the level a heated hand went down between Vladimir Geshkenbein and Phil Hellmuth.

It began when Hellmuth opened for 37,000 from the cutoff and Davidi Kitai called from the small blind.

"Well, time again," Geshkenbein said as he reached for a toy space gun he brought with him. "All In."

Geshkenbein then fired the gun, which makes various noises. He and Hellmuth had sparred before, and Hellmuth asked for a count. It was 252,000, and Hellmuth said, "Call." Kitai folded.

"What do you have?" Geshkenbein asked.

"Ace-three," Hellmuth said and tabled the {a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}.

"You're good," Geshkenbein said sheepishly. He waited a few seconds and then slowrolled Hellmuth with the {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}. Geshkenbein continued to rib Hellmuth as the flop came down {j-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}. The {5-Spades} turn gave the Russian pause as Hellmuth picked up an open-ended straight draw, but it didn't come in as the {4-Hearts} blanked on the river.

"Oh no, Phil," Geshkenbein continued.

"You gotta show some class when you win one, kid," a clearly annoyed Hellmuth said.

"I'm not classy," Geshkenbein said as he continued to taunt Hellmuth.

"I'm going to bust you. I promise you that. Look me in the eyes, I'm going to bust you," Hellmuth said. There is certainly no love lost between these two players.

Ruberto Utilizes the Power of Position

Level 22 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Tony Ruberto
Tony Ruberto

It was three-handed to the {5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop, a flop that Zachary Korik checked from the small blind. Next to act was Bill Burford in the big blind and he took a 42,000 stab at the pot. Tony Ruberto, on the button, didn't buy Burford's story and raised to 100,000.

Korik folded before Burford followed suit, albeit after some dwelling on his decision.

Ruberto Runs Like California Chrome

Level 22 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Mark Darner opened for 26,000 from the button and Tony Ruberto announced that he was all in for 211,000 from the small blind. The big got out of the way and Darner asked for a count before making the call.

Darner: {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Ruberto: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

On the day the Belmont Stakes is being held, it was only fitting that the hand was a race. Fortunately for Ruberto, he ran like California Chrome and secured the double after the board ran out {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{3-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}.

Kamutzki Four Bet Sparks Conversation

Level 22 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Zachary Korik set the price to play at 26,000 from under the gun and was called by Tony Ruberto in the small blind. Heinz Kamutzki was in the big blind and he checked the stack sizes of both Korik and Ruberto before announcing he was all-in.

Korik folded, as did Ruberto shortly after.

"You're being quiet now?" asked Ruberto to Kamutzki. "You've not stopped talking all day and now you're quiet."

Kamutzki and Ruberto started chatting among themselves eventually asking what each other held in the hand. Kamutzki claimed to have pocket aces, but then admitted he was lying.

"You're a bad person," joked Ruberto, "You'll go to hell faster for lying!"

Their table is being played in good spirits, much like live poker should be.

Preflop Poker

Level 22 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

There has been plenty of raising and three-betting going on but not many flops being played.

One hand saw Mark Darner open to 26,000 and Tony Ruberto three-bet all-in from the next seat across. Darner looked like he could call, but didn't pull the trigger.

On the other table, Davidi Kitai opened to 28,000 and then tank-folded when Vladimir Geshkenbein reraised to 82,000 when next to act.

Gabriel Andrade Eliminated in 12th Place ($25,164)

Level 22 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Gabriel Andrade - 12th Place
Gabriel Andrade - 12th Place

Phil Hellmuth and Gabriel Andrade had choice words for one another earlier in the tournament, but the two-table redraw separated them. There was a chance they would be reunited, but any hope of that happening just came to an end courtesy of Heinz Kamutzki.

It happened when Kamutzki opened for 24,000 in the hijack and Andrade shipped all in for 100,000 from the small blind. The big folded and Kamutzki made a quick call.

Kamutzki: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Andrade: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}

Andrade was in trouble with his inferior kicker, and the man prone to practice his golf swing in between hands stood to watch his fate. The {5-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop provided no help, but the {5-Spades} turn did as Andrade picked up both a flush draw and chop outs. Unfortunately for him the {10-Hearts} blanked on the river and he was sent back to the driving range.

King Kamutzki

Level 22 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Heinz Kamutzki opened for 24,000 under the gun and was met by a three-bet to 62,000 from Bill Burford in the cutoff. The button and both blinds folded, and then Kamutzki pushed back by moving all in for 262,000. Burford called and probably wished he didn't.

Kamutzki: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Burford: {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

Kamutzki held the dominant hand, and there would be no tomfoolery as the board ran out a clean {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}.
