Kenney in Trouble

Level 16

Limit Hold'em

Cory Zeidman raised from the button and Bryn Kenney defended his big blind. The flop brought out {A-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Kenney check-called a bet. On the turn the {9-Diamonds} hit and Kenney check-called 8,000.

On the river the {Q-Diamonds} hit and both players checked. Kenney showed {A-}{2-} but that was no good against Zeidman's {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}.

Zeidman's strong top pair took this pot down as Bertrand Grospellier, seated in-between the two battling players, shook his head about the river action. Kenney looked far from happy himself as he's now one of the shortest stacks in the room.

Turner Toppled

Level 16

Stud

Jon Turner has just been eliminated by Richard Sklar.

By seventh Sklar had just a pair of fives while Turner was drawing to any pair and a jack for a straight.

Unfortunately for Turner, the river blanked out and he was sent to the rail.

Ashby Rivers Straight

Level 16

Limit Hold'em

The flop read {8-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{4-Hearts} and and Richard Ashby and Brock Parker were in a battle of the blinds. Ashby came out swinging with a bet and Parker called to see a turn. The dealer produced the {6-Hearts} on the turn and Ashby bet once again. Parker called and the board completed with the {5-Diamonds}.

Ashby slowed down on the river with a check, prompting Parker to slide out a bet. Ashby came over the top with a check-raise and Parker flung out a call. Ashby rolled over {A-Spades}{7-Hearts} for straight and Parker flicked his cards into the muck. Ashby pulled in the pot and now has about 130,000 in chips.

"I had 200,000 and now I'm out," said Phil Hellmuth to Greg Mueller.

"I never lost a pot on tilt, though. Duhamel just kept beating me," added Hellmuth.

With Hellmuth now on the rail, Jonathan Duhamel's stack is sitting at roughly 120,000.

ElkY's Up There

Level 16

Bertrand Grospellier won the $10,000 Seven Card Stud Championship back in 2011, just days after his first ever non-Hold'em cash in the $10,000 No Limit 2-7 Single Draw. Every year since the man known as ElkY has been playing the non-Hold'em events and this year he's making quite the run in this tournament.

Just now Grospellier completed on third street and got called by Kevin Iacofano, Chris Klodnicki and Sergey Rybachenko. On fourth street Grospellier bet and all three of his opponents called again.

On fifth the Frenchman caught a huge card and his bet got the other to let go of their hand.

Grospellier: {X-}{X-} / {K-Clubs}{8-Spades}{K-Hearts}
Iacofano: {X-}{X-} / {10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs} --fold
Klodnicki: {X-}{X-} / {4-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}fold
Rybachenko: {X-}{X-} / {6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}fold

Buchanan Flops Set

Level 16

Limit Hold'em

On a flop of {8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Spades}, Shawn Buchanan checked over to Jon Turner who fired out a bet. Kevin Song let go of his cards and Buchanan called. The turn brought the {9-Spades} and Buchanan checked for a second time. Turner continued out and Buchanan came over the top with a raise. Turner called.

The river was the {2-Spades} and Buchanan shot out one last bet. Turner called and Buchanan flipped over {8-Hearts}{8-Spades} for a flopped set of eights. Turner shook his head, flashed {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}, and threw his cards into the muck.

Fitoussi Takes on the Russians

Level 15

Stud 8

We picked up the action sixth street, and with a lot of chips already in the middle it was Bruno Fitoussi who bet and both his Russian opponents called.

Fitoussi: {X-}{X-} / {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{J-Spades}{K-Hearts} / {X-}
Altbregin: {X-}{X-} {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{K-Spades} / {X-}
Zaichenko: {X-}{X-} / {9-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{J-Clubs} / {X-}

On seventh street all three players checked and Fitoussi showed {A-Spades}{3-Clubs}{4-Spades} to rake in this pot.

Baker Busts to Zaichenko

Level 15
David "Bakes" Baker
David "Bakes" Baker

Stud-8

David "Bakes" Baker found himself all in against Justin Bonomo, Abe Mosseri and Andrey Zaichenko. Bonomo led the betting on fourth, fifth and sixth streets with Zaichenko and Mosseri calling until the river was checked down.

Baker: {X-}{x-} / {Q-Clubs}{K-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} / {X-}
Bonomo: {X-}{X-} / {4-Spades}{8-Spades}{J-Spades}{2-Diamonds} / {X-}
Zaichenko: {X-}{X-} / {7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{A-Hearts} / {X-}
Mosseri: {X-}{X-} / {4-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{10-Spades}{6-Hearts} / {X-}

Zaichenko tabled his {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and both Mosseri and Bonomo mucked, with Baker squeezing out his final card only to muck it when he saw it failed to improve his hand.
