Gregg Building a Stack

Level 7 : 150/300, 25 ante

Anthony Gregg raised in early position to 400, a player in late position three-bet shoved, and the player in the big blind moved all in for less. Gregg made the call to put both players at risk.

Gregg: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
LP: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Big Blind: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

Gregg and the player in the big blind both took the lead when the dealer rolled out a {j-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{q-Spades} flop - pairing their queens - and that would be enough as the {5-Clubs} on the turn and the {k-Diamonds} on the river.

Gregg and the player in the big blind would chop the small, main pot, and Gregg would claim the much larger side pot.

Roy Binks the River

Level 7 : 150/300, 25 ante
Jonathan Roy
Jonathan Roy

We arrived to the table with a board reading {4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and about 2,500 in the pot. Jonathan Roy was heads up against a player in early position and when checked too, Roy bet 1,425. The early position player made the call after a moment, and Roy tabled {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for a back-door flush, and his opponent mucked.

Selbst Off to Commentate

Level 7 : 150/300, 25 ante

Shortly after doubling up, Vanessa Selbst busted in a hand we were not able to see. She is off to join the live stream broadcast with David Tuchman now. She's joining many on the rail as we have already lost over half the field.

Selbst Doubles, Liebert Busts and Some Blue and Silver Chip Counts

Level 6 : 100/200, 25 ante

Kathy Liebert was eliminated when here {A-}{Q-} could not improve against another player's {A-}{K-}. Vanessa Selbst would take an {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades} of her own against {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} and would double up when the board ran out {Q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}. Here are some chip counts from the Blue and Silver sections of Brasilia:

Four Wheeler!

Level 6 : 100/200, 25 ante

Brent Wheeler raised all in preflop over a button shove in the big blind. An early position raiser moved all in for less than Wheeler, and a player in the cutoff called, having all three covered.

Wheeler: {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Button: {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}
UTG+1: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Cutoff: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}

The dealer fanned a board of {3-Clubs}{j-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, Wheeler had flopped a set of jacks and they would hold through the river. Wheeler nearly quadrupled his stack and busted the two smaller stacks.

Stammen Wastes No Time

Level 5 : 100/200, 0 ante

To say Keven Stammen has had a good year would be a gross understatement. He's currently the top-ranked player in the 2014 Global Poker Index rankings and has won nearly $1.7 million dollars this year. The bulk of that came after his $1.5 million score for winning the WPT Championship Event last month.

Stammen has taken his seat here today and wasted no time in making his presence known as he moved all in after a player min-raised from late position on his big blind. The raiser folded and Stammen smiled as he slid his cards to the dealer.
