Di Donato Takes Two

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

According to Greg Merson, he opened the pot for a raise and was called by Ray Di Donato before a player in the blinds three-bet. Merson four-bet, and all three players ended up getting all in.

Merson: {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Di Donato: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Third Player: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}

The board ran out {8-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{8-Spades}{a-Diamonds}, giving Di Donato aces up on the river to take the pot.

The next hand, Di Donato flatted a raise with {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}. He checked back an {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop before calling bets on the {a-Diamonds} turn and {a-Hearts} river, taking the pot against his opponent's {a-}{k-}{x-}{x-}.

Nassif Doubles Through Monro

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Joe Monro, who has amassed a monster stack as of late, opened for 5,000 under the gun only to have Gabriel Nassif three-bet all in for 12,400 more from the hijack. Action folded back to Monro, who verified the amount before making the call.

Nassif: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}
Monro: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{5-Hearts}

Nassif was up on his feet to observe his fate, but he was able to sit back down when the {3-Spades}{q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} flop gave him a comfortable lead. The {4-Hearts} turn gave Monro a straight draw, but he failed to complete it when the {7-Spades} blanked on the river. Ship the double to Nassif.

Laak Hits the Rail

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante
Phil Laak busted with top two.
Phil Laak busted with top two.

Phil Laak got it all in against Brandon Shack-Harris on a {j-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} flop.

Shack-Harris: {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Laak: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

Laak had top two and a gutter to the nuts, but he had a massive straight draw to fade. The {7-Spades} filled Shack-Harris' straight while also giving him a flush draw, and the {2-Diamonds} river ended things for the "Unabomber."

The popular pro wished everyone good luck as he gathered his belongings.

Shack-Harris Doubles Through Fritz

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Brandon Shack-Harris just doubled through rival Bill Fritz when Shack-Harris and Fritz both called a bet from Nick Guagenti on a {j-Spades}{q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop. After the {a-Diamonds} turned, Shack-Harris came alive with a pot bet of 33,000, which Fritz quickly called. Guagenti got out of the way, and Shack-Harris bet his last 2,000 in the dark. Fritz called after the {3-Clubs} came on the river, but he couldn't beat Shack-Harris' {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} for three queens.

Perry Green paid off a bet on the end.

In one of the last hands at the previous level, Perry Green bet 6,000 on the end after one check with the board reading {4-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Spades}{3-Spades}. Mark Johnson announced a raise before pushing out 16,500, and the third player quickly mucked. Green asked for the count before pushing in a calling stack. Johnson showed him {a-Spades}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for the nut flush, and Green mucked his hand. He's now in dire straits with under 10 big blinds.

Greg Merson is now among the leaders.

We arrived to Table 440 to see the aftermath of an all-in pot between Greg Merson and Allan Le. Jason Somerville gave us the details.

According to Somerville, multiple players saw the {a-}{10-}{3-} flop, and Greg Merson bet from button after action checked to him. Allan Le made the call before betting out 31,000 on the {5-} turn, which put two hearts on board. Merson shipped it for about 60,000 total with {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{9-Spades}, and his top two held on for the win against an unknown hand.

Billirakis Avoids Chop, Busts One

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

A player bet all in for about 20,000 after a {j-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop, and Steve Billirakis raised pot to knock out the two players behind him.

Billirakis: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{q-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

Though a chop looked likely, the all-in player got out of his seat, and his pessimism seemed warranted when the {7-Spades} turn gave Billirakis a flush draw. The {q-Clubs} gave Billirakis the only two-pair hand that would scoop him the pot, and he collected his opponent's stack.
