Hunichen Doubles Through Kaverman

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Chris Hunichen
Chris Hunichen

Chris Hunichen was all in and at risk for 59,400 on a flop of {5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}, and was in great shape to double through with {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} against the {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} of Byron Kaverman.

The {2-Clubs} on the turn took away both of Kaverman's backdoor straight possibilities, and the {6-Diamonds} on the river was a big read brick. Hunichen doubled to 170,000 chips, while Kaverman is in the danger zone with around 23,000.

Pfutzenreuter Five-Bet Jams With King-Five

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

JC Tran raised to 5,600 in the cutoff, Timo Pfutzenreuter reraised to 12,600 on the button, and Tran put in a four-bet to 28,700. Pfutzenreuter moved all in for around 100,000, Tran called, and the hands were tabled:

Tran: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Pfutzenreuter: {k-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

Pfutzenreuter failed to improve as the board came {3-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}, and was eliminated. Tran is up to 225,000 chips.

David Paredes was also eliminated at an adjacent table.

Markin KO's Another

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Zachary Gruneberg - Eliminated
Zachary Gruneberg - Eliminated

Zachary Gruneberg was all in and at risk with {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} on a board of {2-Hearts}{q-Spades}{9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, and unfortunately for him his was drawing very slim against Leonid Markin's {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. Gruneberg failed to fill up when the {2-Clubs} bricked off on the river, and he was eliminated.

Markin's stacks are currently situated in unorganized towers of uncountable chips, but we eyeballed his count at around 450,000.

Kurganov Shows How It's Done

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

We're not entirely sure how Igor Kurganov got all those chips, but we're going to try to find out.

What we do know is that he just now raised it up to 5,000 under the gun plus one. His next door neighbor Benjamin Pollak three-bet to 13,500 with 103,300 behind. JC Tran on the button flat called with about 115,000 behind.

After both blinds folded, Kurganov sized up the stacks behind him. So did we. He then announced all in, and Pollak folded rather quickly. Tran thought about it for a little bit, before eventually folding as well.

Ace from Space

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Kyle White
Kyle White

Kyle White, who drew "Happy Father's Day DAD" on his shirt today and sends love to his dad Cameron, was all in and at risk for 149,600 holding {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}. The Canadian was dominated by Markus Gonsalves's {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}, but the dealer fanned {8-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}, giving White the lead.

Gonsalves couldn't find a king on the turn ({10-Hearts}) or the river ({10-Clubs}), and White doubled to 302,000 chips. The Hawaiian-born grinder, who is always sporting his "HI" cap, is down to 129,000 chips.

Always Sunny

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Hiren "Sunny" Patel and Chris Hunichen took a flop of {8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{8-Hearts}, and the duo checked. Hunichen check-called a bet of 4,200 on the turn ({9-Hearts}), and the {5-Hearts} completed the board.

Hunichen checked, Patel fired out 11,600, and Hunichen tossed out a single purple T500 chip, signifying a call.

Patel ripped over {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for a jack-high straight, and was pushed the pot.
