Ausmus Flops Quads

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Jeremy Ausmus (Previous event) flops quads
Jeremy Ausmus (Previous event) flops quads

Jeremy Ausmus was all in and at risk for 67,500 preflop holding {a-Hearts}{9-Spades}, and he was in rough shape against Bejamin Pollak's {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}.

Pollak was drawing dead when the dealer fanned the remaining three aces - {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} - on the flop, and the turn and river competed {2-Diamonds}, {3-Clubs} respectively. Ausmus doubled to 138,500 chips, while Pollak fell to 45,500.

Lau improved to Broadway as the board rolled out {q-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{7-Hearts}{10-Spades}{j-Clubs}, and Kaverman hit the rail.

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Samay Parikh checked to Igor Kurganov on a board of {10-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}, and Kurganov fired out 36,500. Parikh called.

The {9-Clubs} completed the board, Parikh led out for 48,500, and Kurganov folded.

Parikh is up to 250,000, while Kurganov fell to 215,000.

Parikh Takes Another One

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Right after beating Jeremy Ausmus in a big pot, Samay Parikh was at it again, this time facing off with JC Tran.

Tran opened the cutoff for 6,500 and Parikh made it 15,000 from the button. Both blinds folded and Tran made the call.

Both players checked the {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{10-Hearts} flop and the {10-Diamonds} hit the turn. Tran bet out 14,000 and Parikh made the call.

The {7-Clubs} fell on the river and Tran bet out, what looked like, 21,500. Parikh instantly called by tossing in a single 1,000 chip. He didn't need to add the other 20,500 as his {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts} easily beat Tran's {J-}{J-}.

Ladouceur Doubles

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Scott Clements raised in late position, Marc-Andre Ladouceur moved all in for 40,500 on the button, and Clements called.

Ladouceur: {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Clements: {a-Diamonds}{8-Spades}

Ladouceur's hand held up as the board came {5-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, and he doubled through.

Green Felted

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Markus Gonsalves opened the cutoff for 6,500 and Brian Green shoved his 38,000 to the middle from the button. Gonsalves thought about it for some time, but eventually did call.

Green: {A-Spades}{J-Spades}
Gonsalves: {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}

Green was in front, but the turn would be a terrible card for him: {8-Hearts}{4-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}. The {3-Hearts} on the river wasn't the coveted ace, and Green had to leave the tournament area.

Pollak Doubles Again

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Jeremy Ausmus raised to 6,000 in middle position, Benjamin Pollak reraised to 14,500 on the button, and Ausmus moved all in for effectively 59,000. Pollak called.

Ausmus: {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Pollak: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Pollak was in great shape to double, and survived as the board came {q-Spades}{7-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{k-Spades}.

Nabih Zaczac was later eliminated from the table, and a short-stacked Josh Arieh exited as well.

Kaverman Has Heart(s)

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

After eliminating Chris Hunichen, Hiren "Sunny" Patel nearly notched another knockout, but Byron Kaverman found a fortuitous double up.

Patel raised to 6,500 from under the gun, Kaverman moved all in for 49,500 out of the small blind, and Patel called.

Patel: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Kaverman: {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Kaverman flopped a flush draw when the dealer fanned {q-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}, and completed said flush on the turn ({3-Hearts}). Patel was drawing dead, and a meaningless {3-Diamonds} completed the board.

Le Left

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Wade Townsend opened for 6,500, and called Nam Le's big blind shove for 40,500 after some pondering.

Townsend: {A-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}
Le: {K-Spades}{J-Spades}

The board didn't improve anyone and Le left the tournament area: {8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}.
