Nanonoko’s Three Hands to Bust

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

Randy “nanonoko” Lew was in the tournament, he isn’t anymore. He gave us a blow by blow account of the 3 hands that comprised most of his action and sent him out.
In the first hand Lew opened with {q-}{10-} and there was a three-bet and another 3 callers. Back to Lew who shoved all in. The three bettor called with {q-}{q-} and the other players folded. The flop was {j-}{9-}{8-} giving Lew a straight and a double up.

The next major hand Lew was involved in saw him three bet with {j-}{j-} the player who previously had queens. He then check-raised all in on the flop of {9-}{8-}{6-} and his opponent called with {7-}{6-}. A {10-} on the turn so nanonoko’s stack reduced.

The very same player did for Lew not long after when Lew called his four bet with {j-}{j-} and his nemesis showed {a-}{k-}, hitting the ace on the flop.

Checked Down Pot

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

It most definitely wasn't a huge hand between Steven Dannenmann and Paul-Francois Tedeschi, but gave us the opportunity to enter them into the chip counts. The Frenchman won the pot with {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs} versus {J-Hearts}{9-Hearts} on a {2-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{7-Hearts} board and glanced back at his iPad to watch the match of France vs Honduras. He is below starting stack but most likely happy about the 2-0 lead.

Good Start For Xuan

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

Xuan Liu called a bet of 200 on the {2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop and then raised from 250 to 625 when the {A-Hearts} appeared on the turn. Her opponent folded and the 888poker pro raked in the chips. On the tables nearby we caught a few more chip counts that you can find below.

Yang Busts One, Staszko Stacking

Level 1 : 25/25, 0 ante

Jerry Yang opened for 75 from first position and faced an all-in from the player a couple of seats to his left. The player in question though only had 475 chips left and when the other players folded Yang put in the call.

Yang had {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} and acknowledged the good hand of his opponent who tabled {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}. The board ran out {2-Spades}{q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. Yang said, “Sorry buddy.” as his turned trips sent the player to the rail.
Martin Staszko on a nearby table has come flying out of the traps and is already sitting with 7,000 chips, more than double his starting stack.

“Floor One Twenty One”

Level 1 : 25/25, 0 ante

The dealer called over the floor as one of the players had a question. It wasn’t about poker though.

“Is the soccer game coming on the big TV?” he wanted to know and was assured it would be soon.

France v Honduras is currently 0 – 0 coming up to half time.
