Balsiger Doesn't Bite

Level 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

Jake Balsiger raised to 2,100 and called a three-bet of the player in the small blind to 5,900. On the {6-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop, the opponent made the continuation bet of 4,600 and Balsiger called before both players checked the {8-Spades} turn.

On the {8-Diamonds} river, the player in the small blind bet 10,800 and Balsiger took his time before mucking the cards.

"Good fold," the opponent said and then flashed the {A-Clubs} followed by the {A-Hearts}.

Where Did That One Come From?

Level 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

A short stack moved all in for 2,500 and one seat over, Jason Senti made the call. The player in the big blind also called reluctantly and they saw the {9-Hearts}{4-Spades}{10-Hearts} flop. Senti bet and the other active player folded.

The short stack held {A-Hearts}{3-Spades} and Senti had {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. There was no change at all on the {6-Hearts} turn but the {A-Spades} river saw the short stack triple up.

Kuo Doubles

Level 10 : 400/800, 100 ante
Kitty Kuo
Kitty Kuo

With a raise from a player in middle position and a couple of calls, Kitty Kuo saw an opportunity to squeeze by three-betting all in. Only the original raiser made the call, and he showed {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}. Kuo held {j-Hearts}{k-Clubs}.

The flop gave Kuo plenty of draws when the dealer spread out {4-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{a-Hearts}. She needed a king or jack for a higher pair, a 10 for a straight, or a heart for a better flush. The {5-Spades} on the turn wasn't any of those things, but the {5-Hearts} on the river gave both players a flush. Kuo's higher heart-card gave her the pot and the double up.

Glazier Takes One Out

Level 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

Jackie Glazier defended her big blind against the raise of a player in early position and then bet 2,000 on the {8-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{10-Spades} flop. Her opponent moved all in for just under 9,000 with {A-Spades}{9-Diamonds} for the open ended straight draw and Glazier held {J-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for top pair. Both the {3-Spades} turn and the {8-Clubs} river blanked and the Australian is above average.

Locked Out by Muehloecker

Level 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

Thomas Muehloecker raised preflop and faced an all-in three-bet from a short-stacked player. Muehlocker quickly made the call with {q-}{j-} to his opponent's {a-}{4-}. The flop was great for the short stack, as he made two pairs on {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades}. He stayed ahead on the turn of {10-Hearts}, though Muehloecker picked up the gutshot straight draw. The {k-Diamonds} hit on the river and the straight was completed, giving Muehloecker all the chips and sending his opponent home for the night.
