Brazil Has Won The World Cup

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

At least when we go with the cheers from Vinicus Teixeira De Silva, who already started as one of the bigger stacks. He just had a coin flip with the {A-}{J-} against pocket fours and spiked an ace on the river to score the knockout. He then jumped out of his chair and cheered loudly.

Chip Lead Grows for Johnson

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Jason Johnson began this day with a big chip lead, and he continues to add to his stack early in the day.

On a flop of {8-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}, Johnson bet out 3,800 and Theo Tran made the call. The turn was the {8-Spades} and both players checked. The river was the {3-Hearts} and Tran led out for 8,000. Johnson raised to 23,000 and Tran's eyes widened in surprise. After a minute of thought, he let go of his hand and the dealer pushed yet another pot to Johnson.

Lövgren Eliminated in Three-Way Pot

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Sofia Lövgren was all in preflop and received two callers in Justin Schwartz and Steven Firestone. In fact there was a side pot to the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop of about 10,000 in chips. Schwartz bet 7,700 and Firestone raised to what looked like 20,000. Schwartz folded and we went to the showdown.

Lövgren: {8-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Firestone: {A-Spades}{J-Spades}

An eight or nine would see the triple up for the 888poker pro from Sweden but the board completed with the {7-Hearts} turn and the {5-Spades} river instead.

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Sebastian Didier was all in preflop with the {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} and Harrison Gimbel made the call with the {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}.

The board ran out {Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{A-Spades}{6-Hearts}{Q-Spades} and Gimbel has tripled his stack after starting as one of the shorter stacks whereas Didier headed to the payout desk.

May the Min-Cash Mania Begin

Level 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

We are already down to 193 players and among those departed we saw a coin flip of Nicholas Heather with {5-Hearts}{5-Spades} versus the {A-Spades}{9-Spades} of Salim Zakhem. The {9-Clubs} appeared on the flop and Heather could not hit the two remaining fives in the deck anymore.

Bubble Boy Bond

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Justin Bond was sitting in middle position and raised preflop. Sebastian Saffari three-bet from the small blind and Bond pushed all in. Saffari made a quick call and Bond was at risk to become the bubble boy.

Before the pocket cards were flipped over and a board ran out, the players waited for an excruciating five minutes while other tables finished up the hand-for-hand play. The two other all-in tables resulted in double ups, leaving just Bond and Saffari to face off.

Bond: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Saffari: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Bond was in need of some help with his two black jacks against the two red queens of Saffari. The flop was spread out {9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, giving him the chance to catch up with a straight if he could find a seven or a queen.

The turn was the {2-Clubs}, and Saffari held on to his lead. The river was the {5-Clubs} and Bond's fate was sealed. He exited this event as the bubble boy, and the remaining 198 players are now in the money.

Huge Sweat for Eric Ladny on the Bubble

Level 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

David Woo raised to 2,500 from early position and got one caller before Eric Ladny moved all in for 20,300 from the big blind. Woo called and there were two other all in calls at the same time. Ladny was the first player at risk and showed {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds} versus {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}. The {6-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop was a huge sweat but {2-Clubs} turn and {8-Clubs} river bricked out.

Ngu Wins Monster Pot

Level 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

During the third hand of hand-for-hand play, Jessica Ngu was all in on the river of a board reading {j-Clubs}{2-Spades}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{8-Spades}. Ngu had been called by Steven Klein and both had to wait about five minutes for a showdown.

After the hands on all tables were completed, the floor arrived at the table and the cards were turned over.

Ngu: {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Klein: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Klein had flopped a set of jacks but was crushed by the river straight of Ngu's. Klein had been left crippled, while Ngu is now among the leaders.
