Johnson and Tran Tangle Again

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

One orbit ago, Jason Johnson raised from under the gun and went to a flop with Theo Tran in the big blind, resulting in a big pot that went to the river and eventually made it's way to Johnson's stack. The action repeated itself again in this recent tangle.

Johnson made it 3,200 from under the gun and only Tran called in the big blind. The flop was {9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Tran check-called Johnson's bet of 3,700. The dealer flipped over {10-Diamonds} for the turn and Tran check-called again; this time the bet was 7,300. The river was the {k-Spades} and the trend continued. Tran checked, Johnson made it a hefty 22,300, and Tran made the call.

Johnson flipped over {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for a flopped set and Tran announced queens as he turned over {q-Hearts}{q-}. As Johnson raked in the chips the table commented on how hot he is running and how he always holds a strong hand. "It's never a bluff. He just has it every time."

Kuwauti Also Gone

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

The player that just knocked out 888poker pro Bruno Kuwauti as well. The Brazilian three-bet shoved for what looked like 20,000 with {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and Manelic Minaya made the call with {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. Minaya needed some help and the {J-Clubs}{2-Spades}{9-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{5-Spades} board was exactly that.

Madsen Melted

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Jeff Madsen was all in for 10 big blinds with {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and got a call from the player in the nine seat with {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}. After the {6-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{6-Spades}{Q-Hearts} turn it was already all over and the meaningless {5-Spades} river completed the board.

Harwood Doubles

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Gary Sewell was not quite amused after defending his big blind to a raise from Loni Harwood and then getting it in after the {K-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} flop with the {K-Spades}{Q-Hearts}. Harwood was all in for 37,000 post flop and showed {6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for the flopped flush.

Both the {2-Clubs} turn and the {5-Hearts} river blanked and Sewell could only let out a "nice hand" with a sigh.

Moschitta Gone

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Christopher Kastler was already committed to the pot with half his stack in as part of the big blind and he called all in with {6-}{10-} against the initial raise from Mark Reinhardt, Reinhardt showed {A-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and scored the knockout on the {5-Hearts}{8-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{8-Clubs} board.

Luca Moschitta is out as well. He three-bet shoved his short stack with {A-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and got called by initial raiser Ardit Kurshumi with {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}. The latter, who already had a final table on the 2014 WSOP, improved on the board and Moschitta was delegated to the payout desk.

Fernandez Campo With Six Digits

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Pablo Fernandez Campo was already up to almost 140,000 and doubled up his starting stack for the day. But just now he lost 35,700 chips after a preflop all in with {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} versus {A-Hearts}{K-Spades} on the {3-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} board.

Muehloecker Let's Go

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

We did see Thomas Muehloecker involved in a hand where he called 3,500 on the {K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} flop from the button. His opponent continued with another bet of 9,500 on the {2-Spades} turn and the Austrian called again.

The final barrel was worth 15,600 on the {Q-Hearts} river and this time Muehloecker elected to fold. He is still up for the day though.
