Anderson Rakes in a Big One

Level 10

Stud

Allen Kessler made us aware of a big hand in which Calvin Anderson and Daniel Alaei were tangled up. Kessler explained how three bets went in on third street followed by a bet by Anderson of every street.

Alaei: {X-}{X-} / {7-Clubs}{J-Spades}{9-Spades}{K-Spades} / {X-}
Anderson: {X-}{X-} / {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{8-Hearts} / {X-}

On seventh street Alaei folded after about a minute and Anderson raked in this pot.

Ohel Out Of Chips

Level 10
Randy Ohel
Randy Ohel

Omaha 8

Details were a bit sketchy on this one but from what we gathered Randy Ohel made three nines with an ace, Frank Kassela held the same hand and Brian Rast scooped it all with either a straight or a full house, sending Ohel to the rail.

Luneau Shoves on the River

Level 10

No-Limit Hold'em

Brandon Shack-Harris was the first player to act, and raised to 5,000. Abe Mosseri called on the button, Alexandre Luneau three-bet to 18,000 out of the big blind, and only Shack-Harris called.

The dealer fanned {5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}, Luneau led out for 16,000, and Shack-Harris called. The Frenchman fired out another 40,000 on the turn ({9-Hearts}), Shack-Harris put in another call, and the {j-Spades} completed the board.

Luneau shoved, making it 105,000 to go, and Shack-Harris tanked for a bit before folding.

Bonomo Doubles; Updated Counts from Table 361

Level 10

Omaha 8

David Bach's {a-}{a-}{4-}{x-} was going into the muck on Table 361, and the dealer was pushing the pot to Justin Bonomo, who was all in with {a-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades} sitting in front of him. The board was {4-Clubs}{j-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades}, giving Bonomo the nut low and a flush, and he doubled to 64,000.

Bach dropped down to 110,000, and here are counts from the rest of the table:

Big Double Up For Burr

Level 10

No-Limit Hold'em

Steve Billirakis raised before the flop from the button and Melissa Burr three-bet from the small blind to 21,200. Billirakis made the call and the flop showed {A-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades}. Burr bet 33,000 and Billirakis moved all in to put his opponent at risk. Burr made the call for an additional 100,000 and the showdown went as following.

Burr: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}
Billirakis: {8-Spades}{7-Spades}

The board ran out {Q-Clubs}, {10-Clubs} and Burr raked in this very big pot in the final level of the day.

Lisandro Out!

Level 10
Jeffrey Lisandro
Jeffrey Lisandro

No-Limit Hold'em

Jeff Lisandro had just been moved into the big blind in No-Limit Hold'em when Paul Volpe raised to 5,200. Scott Seiver made the call and Lisandro defended.

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Spades} and Lisandro and Volpe checked. Seiver took the lead making it 12,000, Lisandro bumped it to 40,000 and after Volpe folded, Seiver pushed in. Lisandro called all in for his tournament life with {4-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and found his two pair was up against Seiver's {a-Spades}{10-Spades} flush draw.

The {q-Spades} turn made Seiver's flush and the {5-Hearts} river missed Lisandro, sending him to the rail.

Off to the Races

Level 10

No-Limit Hold'em

In the very next hand after Alexander Kostritsyn fell, Talal Shakerchi got his stack of 53,000 all in preflop and was racing against 2014 WSOP bracelet winner Calvin Anderson.

Anderson: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Shakerchi: {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}

The {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop gave Shakerchi an added straight draw to go with his overs, and he hit it when the dealer burned and turned the {Q-Hearts}. The {9-Spades} was put out on the river, and then Anderson sent some chips over to Shakerchi.
