Pantaleo Wins a Flip

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Giuseppe Pantaleo raised to 5,500 and then called when Refael Shaoulian three-bet all-in for his last 26,000. Pantaleo turned over {9-Hearts}{9-Spades} and was racing against the {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} of his opponent.

The {5-Spades}{7-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop kept the nines of Pantaleo as the best hand, but he needed to avoid a king, queen or club in order for that fact to remain true. The {3-Diamonds} turn was followed by the {A-Spades} and Pantaleo knocked Shaoulian out.

"How do you do that?" asked one player.

"I'm running good," came the answer

Bohn Busts Shorty

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

A short-stacked player shoved for 10,100 on the button, and Blake Bohn made the call out of the small blind. Hasan Habib joined in from the big blind, and Bohn and Habib checked down the {3-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} board.

Bohn showed {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for two pair, and it turned out he'd gotten there on the river, as the player on the button showed {9-}{9-}.

Ole Schemion grinded a short stack all day before busting.
Ole Schemion grinded a short stack all day before busting.

Action folded to Ole Schemion, who jammed it in from the small blind with {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}. He was called by Jonathan Poche, who held {a-Spades}{2-Hearts} in the big blind. Poche flopped a pair of aces, and that was all she wrote for the German crusher.

Barer Back Over 200K

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Ami Barer raised to 3,200, Anthony Spinella flat-called and a short stack in the next seat to Spinella's moved all-in for 55,000. Barer reshoved for 140,000 and Spinella folded.

Barer turned over {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} and was in good shape against the dominated {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}. The final board read {4-Spades}{6-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Barer's ace-king held.

Arieh Binks River to Survive

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Ken Einiger took a rough beat.
Ken Einiger took a rough beat.

We found Josh Arieh, on the button, facing an all-in shove from Ken Einiger on a board of {10-Spades}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades}{7-Clubs}. Einiger was in the big blind and putting Arieh at risk for his last 87,000.

"Am I allowed to say anything?" Einiger asked the dealer, who shook his head negative.

Arieh took off his hat and ran his hands through his hair as he struggled with the decision before ultimately making the call. Einiger instantly flipped over {a-Spades}{3-Diamonds} for trips, and Arieh tossed {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} into the middle for top pair and a flush draw. The dealer peeled the {6-Clubs} off the deck, saving Arieh's tournament by giving him a flush. Einiger could only shake his head in disappointment.

Spinella Busts Cada

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Anthony Spinella opened the betting and then called when Joe Cada three-bet all in for 18,000 chips.

Spinella wished Cada good luck and showed {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and Cada the {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}. The {9-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs} flop improved Spinella to trip nines, but a jack on the turn or river would have given Cada a straight. The {4-Spades} landed on the turn and it was followed onto the board by the {6-Diamonds} and with that Cada was gone.
