Douglas Foster Wins Table 440

Level 8 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Ismail Abousharkh opened for 10,500 and was called by Douglas Foster. The flop came {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and fireworks ensued when Abousharkh continuation bet for 17,000 and was raised by Foster to 42,000. Abousharkh insta-shoved and was called with no hesitation by Foster. The hands:

Abousharkh: {J-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Foster: {Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Abousharkh was ahead with his pair of 3's but Foster had plenty of outs and he said out loud what they were, "Queen, Nine, or a club."

The turn was the {K-Hearts} giving Foster a few more outs and he said those out loud as well, "Jack."

The river was one of those outs, the {2-Clubs} giving Foster a flush that was one notch better than Abousharkh's. "Yes," an excited Baker said. "I win!" Abousharkh slammed the table lightly, disappointed in the outcome.
