Boyd Nearly Out

Level 2 : 300/600, 75 ante

A player on the button opened for a raise at able 436, and Dutch Boyd three-bet to 3,900 in the small blind. In the big blind, Michael Ogrady four-bet to 14,000, and the original raiser ducked out of the way. Boyd slid forward two towers of chips, announcing all in. Ogrady obliged.

Ogrady: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Boyd: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Boyd turned his hand face down after the first four cards came {7-Spades}{4-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}, knowing he was drawing dead.

Abousharkh Gets There Against Shorr

Level 2 : 300/600, 75 ante

Shannon Shorr raised to 1,700 from the small blind and Ismail Abousharkh called from the big blind.

The flop came down {A-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts} and Shorr continued for 2,400. Abousharkh called, the {J-Clubs} turned, and Shorr bet 6,000. Abousharkh called again and the {Q-Diamonds} river completed the board. Shorr bet 7,500, Abousharkh raised to 20,000, and Shorr called.

Abousharkh tabled {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for broadway, Shorr mucked, and Abousharkh collected the pot.

Table 437 Chip Counts

Level 2 : 300/600, 75 ante

Table 437 is down to six players as Upeshka Desilva, Josh Pollock, Michael Levine and Cole Jackson have busted. Here is how it stacks up at the moment:

Merson Out

We saw Greg Merson get out of his seat and put on his backpack, and when we arrived at Table 440, Douglas Foster was stacking the chips formerly belonging to the 2012 Main Event champ.

Wolpert Rivers Boat

Level 2 : 300/600, 75 ante

We came to Table 440 with the dealer burning and turning the river card in a large pot, which made the board {6-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{10-Spades}{6-Clubs}. Leo Wolpert, who was under the gun, announced all in, and Lech Boltryk quickly called off his remaining stack of 14,000 or so. Wolpert showed {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} for kings full, and Boltryk collected his payout slip from the tournament director.

Level 2 : 300/600, 75 ante
Eugene Katchalov send some chips to his left.
Eugene Katchalov send some chips to his left.

We found the dealer pushing a double up over to Mark Edwards from the stack of Eugene Katchalov. We arrived too late to see Katchalov's hand, but Edwards had shown down {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for top two on the turn.

Jamie Roberts Eliminated By Kyle Frey

Level 2 : 300/600, 75 ante

A short-stacked Jamie Roberts is all in for about 7,000 with {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} against the {A-Spades}{K-Clubs} of Kyle Frey.

The board ran out {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}, not enough help to Roberts, locking up the pot for Frey.

Shorr Induces the Shove

Level 2 : 300/600, 75 ante

With the board reading {8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}, Shannon Shorr check-raised a bet from Jesse Smith, his lone opponent, to about 13,000. Smith decided to ship, and seeing as he was holding the nuts with {6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}, Shorr made the call. Smith turned over {k-Spades}{q-Spades} for a flush draw, but the {6-Diamonds} river didn't help him.
