Robert McLaughlin Eliminated in 26th Place ($19,948)

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Robert McLaughlin
Robert McLaughlin

Robert McLaughlin three-bet shoved over the top of a button raise from Arpad Balazs and was called by the Hungarian with {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}. It was a flip against {A-Spades}{8-Clubs} and McLaughlin improved on the {9-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop. The {3-Clubs} turn blanked and the cruel {6-Spades} river sent McLaughlin to the payout desk.

Balazs then won another pot against Eric Baldwin to increase his stack further.

Peng and Eckhardt Double

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Nikita Nikolaev opened to 40,000 and Xiao Peng moved all in for 158,000. It was folded back to Nikolaev who made the call, tabling {K-Spades}{J-Hearts}. Peng had {A-Spades}{8-Hearts} and would double up to 360,000 when the board ran out {A-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Clubs}. She would add some more to her stack a few minutes later when she shoved over the top of Igor Dubinskyy's three bet and he folded.

Wladislaw Eckhardt also doubled up when he hit a full house on the river with {9-}{9-} on a {K-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{9-Hearts} board, moved all in, and was paid off by Jeffrey Gibralter whose hand was mucked.

Asi Moshe Eliminated in 27th Place (19,948)

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Asi Moshe
Asi Moshe

Asi Moshe moved all in from early position for 180,000 in chips and the action folded to Theodore Driscoll on the button. He just called and the two players in the blinds released their cards.

Moshe: {A-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Driscoll: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}

As usual there was a sweat on the {4-Spades}{5-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{10-Spades} board but ultimately Moshe could not improve anymore and has been eliminated in 27th place.

Duong Fades Half the Deck

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Jackduyph Duong raised to 32,000 and Asi Moshe asked for his total stack before moving all in out of the big blind with the superior stack. Duong called with {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} and Moshe flipped over the {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}.

The {2-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} flop provided a flush draw for the 2014 bracelet winner Moshe, the {Q-Clubs} on the turn even a gutshot. It wasn't meant to be though as the {2-Clubs} river bricked and Maurice Hawkins said "wow kid, you faded like half the deck there."

Big Move from Peng Not Rewarded

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

We only noticed the action on the river of a {Q-Clubs}{A-Spades}{9-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} board. Xiao Peng check-raised from 135,000 to 335,000 against Michael Tureniec on the very last hand before everyone got moved to the gold section.

The Swede tanked for more than two minutes and eventually called with {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}. Peng was forced to turn over {J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for a missed open ended straight draw and dropped to the bottom of the chip counts.

Jacob Phillips Misses Out on Last Three Tables

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

In a previous hand, Kevin Eyster moved all in after a {K-Hearts}{10-}{3-Hearts} flop with {A-}{J-} and doubled up for 286,000 chips against the {K-}{J-Hearts} of Jackduyph Duong. The {6-Hearts} turn changed nothing but a queen on the river gave Eyster a straight. Duong was one of the shorter stacks but would knock out Jacob Philipps in 28th place.

They got it in preflop with {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades} for Phillips and {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} for Duong. After what previously happened, Duong did have a little headache on the {5-Spades}{A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} flop, but this time the board stayed clear for him with the {7-Hearts} turn and the {3-Hearts} river.
