Eisen and Garcia Battle

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

In the very last hand before the break, Brandon Eisen and Jose Carlos Garcia clicked back the action in a four-bet pot preflop to the {J-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop. Both players checked and Eisen then check-called 76,000 on the {4-Clubs} turn.

The {6-Hearts} river saw both players checking and Eisen tabled {3-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. To the surprise of Jackduyph Duong, who stayed near the table to watch the action unfold, Garcia mucked the {3-Hearts} and gave up the pot. "This hand is gonna read nicely on the blog," Duong said.

Nikita Nikolaev Eliminated in 24th Place ($19,948)

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Nikita Nikolaev
Nikita Nikolaev

Nikita Nikolaev raised from early position and Vimy Ha called from the cutoff to see the {K-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop. Nikolaev continued and Ha called, he did so again for 86,000 on the {8-Spades} turn and again Ha tossed in the chips.

After the {10-Clubs} river, Nikolaev moved all in for 378,000 and Ha gave it some thought before making the call with {6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. Nikolaev tossed his cards into the muck and stormed off, getting eliminated in the process and taking home $19,948.

When we spoke with Ha after the hand, he said that he "wasn't worried about the king or eight" but rather the ten on the river that may have improved the hand of his opponent. "Maybe he had spades," Ha figured.

Hawkins Sniffs Out the Bluff

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Jose Carlos Garcia opened the action for 53,000 and found three takers in Maurice Hawkins, Keanu Tabali, and Theodore Driscoll. The flop came {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and it was checked to Hawkins who bet 70,000. Only Driscoll made the call. The turn was the {10-Diamonds} and Driscoll check-called Hawkins's 104,000 chip bet.

The river was the {4-Clubs} and this time Driscoll didn't check - he led out for 250,000. This would be for most of Hawkins stack as he only had 350,000 behind. Hawkins thought for a moment and then moved all in. Despite it only being another 100,000 to call with over a million in the pot, Driscoll snap-folded and Hawkins stacked chips, a satisfied smile on his face.

Balazs Bosses Tureniec

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

After a raise to 40,000, Arpad Balazs three-bet to 105,000 and the action folded to Michael Tureniec in the small blind. The Swede made it 255,000 to go and only Balazs did oblige and tossed in the extra chips.

On the {K-Clubs}{10-Spades}{Q-Clubs} flop, Tureniec check-called 205,000 and then checked again the {6-Diamonds} turn. Balazs moved all in and had his opponent covered. Tureniec tanked for a good three minutes and Balazs called the clock on him. Four seconds before the end of the minute allowed, Tureniec mucked his cards.

Mykhailo Krasnytskyi Eliminated in 25th Place ($19,948)

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Mykhailo Krasnytskyi
Mykhailo Krasnytskyi

It was folded to Mykhailo Krasnytskyi in the small blind who moved all in for slightly more than 400,000 in chips. Xiao Peng in the big blind asked for a count and as the dealer was counting she announced a call. The two players hands were turned over:

Krasnytskyi: {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}
Peng: {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}

The flop came {K-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} keeping Peng in the lead and giving her a flush draw as well. The turn was the {A-Diamonds} to give Peng a flush. Her opponent could still chop the pot if the river was a diamond bigger than a five. It was the {A-Hearts}, however, and Krasnytskyi was eliminated in 25th place. Peng moved her stack to 910,000, a far cry from the 150,000 she had a little while ago.

Parmann and Ziskin Win Decent Pots

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

On the {2-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} turn, the action was checked to Kevin Eyster and he bet 60,000. Julian Parmann and Igor Dubinskyy called to see the {J-Diamonds} river and Parmann's plan to get more value with another check didn't work out as Dubinskyy checked as well. Parmann turned over {J-Spades}{8-Diamonds} as winning hand and claimed the pot.

Bao Nguyen raised to 40,000 and Alexander Ziskin called out of the big blind. They headed to the {9-Clubs}{3-Spades}{6-Spades} flop and Zioskin check-called 47,000. On the {8-Diamonds} turn, Ziskin check-raised big from 86,000 to 360,000 and enforced a fold from Nguyen.
