Kings Are Kind to Makhija

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

Amit Makhija has started fast out of the blocks here on Day 1b of the Millionaire Maker, getting dealt pocket kings in a four-bet pot will do that to a man.

From what we could gather, Makhija's now-busted opponent opened with a raise, Makhija three-bet with {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} and his opponent four-bet jammed all-in for 2,600. Makhija looked pained in his decision making but decided kings were too strong to lay down and he called, discovering he was ahead of the {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}.

By the river the board read {2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{5-Spades}{J-Hearts}, Makhija's kings held and he is now one of the chip leaders early on here.

Waiting For The Waves

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

We noticed Jamie Kerstetter approaching her tournament table in the Pavilion room and she was surprised not to be allowed to sit down just yet. Why? Because there are simply so many players in that they are having the currently registering entrants starting at level two and three. In Kerstetter's case, she will be in action as of 7.30 p.m. when level three kicks off.

Tamer Tamed

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

Tamer Kamel has been eliminated in level two. Michael Gathy was so kind to fill is in that there was a three-way flop with ace high and two clubs that Kamel called for 825 and then got it in on the {8-} turn with {A-}{J-}. His opponent had flopped two pair with {A-}{2-} and the river bricked for the Brit.
