DeGeorge Sits On Top

Level 3 : 150/300, 0 ante
Joe DeGeorge
Joe DeGeorge

With the board reading {2-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and roughly 4,800 in the middle, the small blind bet out 2,500 and Joe DeGeorge instantly called as the {9-Diamonds} landed on the turn.

The small blind continued selling his story by moving all-in for his last 7,800. DeGeorge contemplated for a few moments before folding his {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} to concede the pot to the small blind.

For DeGeorge, however, he still sits with a very impressive 115,125 - good for the current chip lead.

Chino Rheem
Chino Rheem

Chino Rheem opened to 650 in early position, a player in middle position three-bet to 2,500 the player in the big blind called and Rheem called.

They checked to the turn of a {Q-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{J-Spades} board where the player in the big blind bet 3,000. Only Rheem called and both checked the {2-Hearts} river.

The player in the big blind showed {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}, Rheem mucked and dropped to about 34,000 in the process.

Loeser Takes One Out

Level 3 : 150/300, 0 ante

With the flop reading {Q-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, Manig Loeser and an opponent each committed 14,500 to see the {9-Diamonds} turn. Loeser's opponent shoved for about 18,000 and Loeser called immediately with {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. His opponent turned over {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} and found no help from the {6-Diamonds} river, locking up the pot for Loeser.

De Korver Gives One Up

Level 3 : 150/300, 0 ante

Pieter de Korver just raised to 700 and the player to his left and the big blind called. The flop came down {6-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and the big blind led out for 1,300. De Korver and the player to his left quickly called.

The turn was the {6-Diamonds} and De Korver called another bet, this time worth 2,800. The player to his right tossed the chips in, too.

On the river, the {K-Hearts} hit and the big blind quickly bet another 6,000. De Korver shook his head, tanked for a while and ultimately folded. The player to his right acted in a similar fashion, and De Korver looked displeased when he folded.

Selbst Doubles Through Somerville

Level 3 : 150/300, 0 ante

A very short-stacked Vanessa Selbst was heads up with Jason Somerville on a flop of {4-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{q-Hearts}. Selbst moved all in for 2,975, and Somerville, who just registered, called.

"I have three high," Somerville said, smiling and rolling over {3-Spades}{2-Spades}.

Selbst showed {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} for a pair of aces, giving her an overpair and two blockers. The turn and river bricked {9-Clubs}, {k-Clubs} respectively, and Selbst doubled through.
