Phil Ivey opened the action for a raise and found a caller in the other big stack at the table, Mehrdad Yousefzadeh. The flop came {Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Ivey continued with his pre-flop aggression by making a bet of 11,000. Yousefzadeh raised it to 25,500 and after a few seconds of contemplation, Ivey tossed out a call.

The turn was the {10-Spades} and both players checked. They would repeat this on the {9-Hearts} river. Ivey shrugged and turned over {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} and did not seem surprised when Yousefzadeh turned over the winner with {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades} for queens and tens. Ivey did a quiet tap on the table with a stack of his chips having dropped to 425,000 after the hand. Yousefzadeh, in the meantime, moved up to 660,000.

Farrell Meets Resistance

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Niall Farrell had raised from early position and got one caller on the button. They went to a flop of {5-Spades}{q-Spades}{8-Hearts} and Farrell fired out a bet of 11,500. The button made the call and they both checked the turn card {9-Hearts}. The {2-Spades} on the river saw Farrell check and when he faced a bet of 21,500 he flicked his cards away as soon as they hit the felt.

"Wretchy" Takes a Wretched Beat

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

We found Dan "Wretchy" Martin getting all of his stack in preflop against Paul Klann.

Martin: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}
Klann: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}

The flop was an unfortunate one for Martin: {q-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}, giving his opponent a set. Things got worse on the turn, as the {k-Clubs} left Martin drawing dead.

Action folded to Michael Binger in the cutoff seat, and he raised to 7,000. Paul Pierce called on the button, and the flop came down {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}. Binger continued with a bet of 10,000, and Pierce called to see the turn.

The {J-Clubs} was added to the board on fourth street, and Binger bet 20,000. Pierce gave it up, and saw his stack dip below 200,000 in chips. Binger rose to 188,000.
