Wasserman is a Sly Dog

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Action folded around to Samuel Wasserman on the button and he put in a riase to 55,000. Christopher Sly then three-bet all in for 420,000 from the small blind, the big folded, and Wasserman made the call.

Sly: {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Wasserman: {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

Sly was ahead, and he got even stronger when the {a-Hearts}{6-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop delivered him an ace. The {5-Diamonds} turn actually left Wasserman drawing dead, and after the {8-Hearts} was put out on the river, he sent some chips over to Sly.

Karlsson Over Hecklen

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

We caught up on a flop of {6-Hearts}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs} to se Henrik Hecklen move out a bet of 95,000. Mats Karlsson quickly called and the two saw the {2-Clubs} drop down on fourth street.

Hecklen kept up his aggression with a bet of 270,000. This bet sent Karlsson deep into the tank. More than three minutes passed as Karlsson contemplated is action. Ultimately, he pushed out a flat call. The river was the {4-Spades} and Hecklen instantly checked. Karlsson quickly tapped the table back.

Hecklen showed {J-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for jack high, which was bested by Karlsson's {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}. Karlsson took down the pot and now has about 1.61 million in chips.

Khun and Bennett Play a Four-Bet Pot

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Chanracy Khun raised to 52,000 in the hijack, Steven Bennett three-bet to 130,000 out of the cutoff, and the action folded back to Khun, who put in a four-bet to an even 300,000. Bennett mulled the decision over for a bit before calling.

The flop fell {5-Spades}{6-Hearts}{10-Hearts}, both players checked, and the turn was the {j-Diamonds}. The two checked again.

The {10-Clubs} completed the board, the pair checked one last time, and Khun showed ace high. Bennett turned over {8-Hearts}{8-Spades} for a pair of eights and dragged the pot.

Curcio Dodges Martin's Outs

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Trevor Martin had bet 120,000 on a {3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{j-Spades} flop and was facing an all-in raise of about 310,000 from Joe Curcio. He tossed out a call, and Curcio asked if Martin had a jack.

"No," he responded, seeing the {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts} of Curcio. "I've got some outs."

Indeed he did, as he flipped {a-Spades}{5-Spades} for an overcard and a gutshot, and the {9-Spades} added many more outs with a flush draw. A black card arrived, but it was the {j-Clubs}.

Tuthill Doubles... for the Third Time... Through Loeser

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
David Tuthill
David Tuthill

From the cutoff, David Tuthill moved all in for 296,000 and Manig Loeser pushed from the small blind for his last 475,000.

Tuthill: {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
Loeser: {A-Spades}{8-Spades}

With Tuthill all in against Loeser and trailing for the third time in roughly 30 minutes, the {4-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop gave Loeser additional outs to a flush.

The turn of the {J-Diamonds} changed nothing, but when the {Q-Clubs} was delivered on the river, Tuthill managed to stay alive for the third time as he doubled to over 650,000 while Loeser was left with just 180,000 in chips.

"Are you f***ing serious right now?" stated Nick Yunis before repeating several times in reference to Tuthill's luck, "Do you realize what just happened? Do you realize what just happened?"

Loiacono Sends Chang Packing

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Jeffrey Chang shoved preflop for 379,000 from middle position. Jeffrey Loiacono looked him up from the small blind, and Tom Midena released from the big.

Chang: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Jeffrey Loiacono: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

The {3-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} runout brought no help to Chang and he hit the rail.

Finstein Finds a Double

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

From under the gun, Michael Finstein raised to 60,000. Peter Placey was a few seats over and reraised to 160,000. When play folded back to Finstein, he made the call.

The flop was {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{4-Spades}, and Finstein check-called a bet of 300,000 to see the {7-Clubs} land on the turn. After Finstein checked fourth street, Placey moved all in, having Finstein's remaining 872,000 covered. Finstein called and put himself at risk with the {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}. Placey was behind with the {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}.

The river completed the board with the {A-Diamonds}, giving Finstein two pair, and doubling him up to over 2.7 million in chips. Placey was clipped back to 1.075 million.

Mahin KOs Two

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Dean Baranowski shoved all in for 189,000 from middle position, and action folded to Scott Mahin, who called upon looking at his cards. Benjamin Koziol pushed his whole stack in for about the same amount from the big blind.

"I've got some live cards here," Baranowski said upon seeing his opponents' holdings. He sold himself a bit short though, as he had the lead:

Koziol: {k-}{q-}
Baranowski: {j-}{j-}
Mahin: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

Baranowski looked poised to score a triple up as the first four community cards came {2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{7-Hearts}, but the {a-Spades} on the river sent the pot to Mahin.

Mahin Doubles Through Koziol

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Scott Mahin shoved for about 420,000 from middle position and Benjamin Koziol reshoved from the next seat over, successfully isolating the action.

Mahin: {A-Spades}{4-Spades}
Koziol: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The board ran out {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{J-Spades}{8-Diamonds}, giving Mahin the double up with a pair of aces. Down to 40,000, Koziol did manage to double the next hand.
