Lee Doubles Through Lightbourne

Iaron Lightbourne opened with a raise from under the gun and Darlene Lee shipped all in for what looked to be 178,000 from the next seat over. Action folded back around to Lightbourne and he tossed out a call.

Lee had a slight lead with her pair of sixes that extended into a major lead after the flop. Neither player held diamonds, and Lee was a lock to win the hand after the dropped down on the turn. The finished off the board and she doubled to 428,000 in chips.

Tuthill Thrown a Lifesaver on the River

A short-stacked David Tuthill moved all in for 128,000 under the gun only to have Manig Loeser three-bet all in over the top from middle position for a bit over 600K. The rest of the field folded and the cards were tabled.

Tuthill was behind, but he was drawing to two live cards. The flop was dry as could be, but the turn made things interesting as it gave Tuthill an open-ended straight draw. The river didn't complete it, but it was just as good as Tuthill paired his seven to double through Loeser.

The player under the gun raised to 50,000 after which the action folded to Bradley Lussier on the button. Lussier moved all in for 625,000 and Oscar Kemps immediately gave up his small blind.

Michael Kamran tanked for a bit and ultimately he called from the big blind and the initial raiser folded.

"I would've had a heart attack if the turn and river came down the other way around," Lussier said with a big smile as he raked in this pot.

Sedgeman Ships it All to Guo in Strange Pot

We found Dong Guo in the big blind facing a four-bet to 258,000 from Matthew Sedgeman on the button. Guo had made it 127,000, and he announced a "raise to 120,000."

The floor was called since there was far more than 120,000 in on the last raise.

"Ohhh," Guo said with a groan. "Dammit..."

The ruling was that Guo had to make the minimum raise, and Sedgeman called the 131,000 more, seeing a flop. Guo made sure to do the mental math out loud about the size of the pot this time, ensuring a correct bet amount of 355,000. Sedgeman moved all in after getting a count, and Guo snap-called.

"You have aces, right?" Sedgeman asked.

"Of course."

Sedgeman was on the draw, but it was Guo completing a "flush draw" when the final two cards came and . Sedgeman took the unfortunate turn of events with a smile, shaking Guo's hand.

After the pot, Guo explained that the mistake was due to the way his native language works, in which numbers are said a different way than English.

Ace-High Good Enough For van Hoof

We caught up on a board of to see Quentin Siffledeen check over to Jorryt van Hoof. Van Hoff fired 165,000 and Siffledeen came over the top for 352,000 total. Van Hoof called.

The dropped down on the river and Siffledeen checked. Van Hoof reached into his stack and moved forward a stack of chips for a bet of 500,000. Siffledeen went into the tank for several minutes pondering his action.

"If I fold will you show?" asked Siffledeen. Van Hoof waited a beat before responding.

"Yeah," he shrugged. "Sure."

About 30 more seconds passed before Siffledeen announced that he was folding. Van Hoof showed for merely ace-high to take down the pot. He now has about 1.86 million in chips.

Ruberto Wins Massive Pot With Ace-High; Crosses 4 Million

Picking up the action on a board, Griffin Benger led out for 198,000 from the small blind and Tony Ruberto raised to 475,000 from the button. Benger paused for a minute before sliding in a raise to 900,000 total. Ruberto called, making the pot worth more than 2.1 million.

The completed the board and both players wasted little time before checking. Benger tabled for a busted draw, and Ruberto showed for ace-high. That was good enough to scoop a massive pot and climb to second in chips.

Lee Taylor then three-bet to 475,000 from the small blind, Nguyen called to create a side pot, and the flop came down . Taylor continued for 350,000, and that proved enough to get Anh Van Nguyen to lay down his hand.
