Kerignard Takes It with Two Pair

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

From middle position, Felix Stephensen raised to 210,000. Yorane Kerignard called from the hijack seat, and Scott Palmer called from the big blind.

On the {J-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades} flop, action checked around to see the {A-Diamonds} land on the turn. Palmer led for 425,000, and Stephensen folded. Kerignard called, and the river completed the board with the {Q-Hearts}. Palmer checked, and Kerignard checked.

Palmer showed only the {Q-Diamonds} and not his other card. Kerignard showed the {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for two pair, aces and tens, and Palmer mucked.

From the small blind Oscar Kemps made it 250,000 to go and Dan Smith came along from the big blind to see a {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} flop.

Kemps continued for 275,000 and Smith called. The {3-Hearts} on the turn was greeted with a Kemps bet of 525,000.

Again Smith called and the {K-Spades} landed on the river. Kemps moved all in for roughly 1,750,000 and Smith instantly folded.

A Nice Flop for Haugen

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Bryan Devonshire raised to 220,000 from early position and Leif Force called from the hijack. Matthew Haugen came along from the big blind and three players saw a flop of {10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}. Haugen checked, Devonshire bet 325,000, and Force folded. Haugen called and it was heads-up action to the {3-Diamonds} turn.

Both players checked, the {J-Spades} completed the board on the river, and Haugen fired out 900,000. Devonshire made a quick call but mucked when Haugen rolled over the {9-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for flopped trips.

"Which Spanish Country Are You From?"

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante
Andoni Larrabe, of Spain
Andoni Larrabe, of Spain

Eddy Sabat was the second player to act preflop and he raised to 250,000. Andoni Larrabe reraised to 625,000 on his direct left, and the action folded back to Sabat, who called.

The dealer fanned {3-Spades}{7-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}, Sabat checked, and Larrabe tossed out 425,000. Sabat called almost instantly.

The turn was a repeat three - the {3-Clubs} - Sabat checked again, and Larrabe bet an additional 1.1 million. Sabat called quicker than he did on the flop.

Sabat checked as soon as the {5-Clubs} completed the board, and Larrabe immediately announced he was all in.

"You didn't want to think about it?" Sabat asked as Larrabe double-fisted his remaining 3.15 million into the middle.

Sabat tanked for several minutes, moving around in his chair and staring down Larrabe.

"Which Spanish country are you from?" he finally asked the Spaniard, who is of course, Spanish.

Larrabe remained silent, focusing his eyes on one single spot on the felt.

Sabat, with a smile on his face, finally folded. Larrabe, unchanged, pushed his cards into the muck and pulled in the pot.

Lightbourne Reaps Reward at Smith Bluff

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Dan Smith opened to 200,000 from under the gun and Iaron Lightbourne called from the hijack to see a {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{7-Clubs} flop fall.

Smith continued for 250,000 and Lightbourne made the call before both players checked the {3-Hearts} on the turn.

The river landed the {Q-Diamonds} and Smith bet 650,000 which Lightbourne instantly called.

Smith tabled his {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} for king-high, but it would be Lightbourne's {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} that would see him river a pair (although he was already ahead) to scoop the pot and climb to 5.6 million as Smith slipped to 8.5 million in chips.

Sarra Over Haugen

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Matthew Haugen raised to 250,000 from the hijack and Thomas Sarra Jr called out of the big blind. The flop came down {6-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{2-Hearts}. Sarra checked to the raiser and Haugen came out for 3250,000. Sarra almost instantly came over the top with a raise to 725,000 and Haugen stuck around.

The turn was the {10-Hearts} and Sarra checked. Haugen rapped the table back, allowing the {2-Spades} to hit the river. Two checks allowed Sarra to show {J-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for tens and deuces to take down the pot. Sarra now has 5.885 million in chips while Haugen has dropped to 7.51 million.

Mahin Makes Assuncao Pay

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

The flop showed {9-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{5-Spades} when all four players that were involved decided to check. On the turn the {2-Spades} hit and Peter Placey checked to Luis Assuncao who bet 350,000 from the big blind. Martin Jacobson, who was seated under the gun, folded and Scott Mahin called from the hijack. Placey called as well creating three-way action on the river.

The river was the {2-Clubs} and both Placey and Assuncao checked to Mahin who bet 650,000. Placey snap-folded and Assuncao went into the tank for about two minutes before finally deciding to make the call.

Mahin quickly turned over {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and Assuncao shook his head. The Brazilian mucked and Mahin raked in this big pot.

"Great bet," Christopher Greaves said, as Mahin smiled and stacked his new chips.

Haugen vs. Velador

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Luis Velador opened for 250,000 from middle position and Matthew Haugen called from the cutoff. The button and both blinds folded, and the two saw a flop of {2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}. Velador checked, Haugen bet 325,000, and Velador called before checking the {5-Diamonds} turn. Haugen bet 500,000, Velador called, and the {a-Hearts} completed the board on the river.

Both players checked and Velador tabled the {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} for aces and deuces with a queen kicker. It was good as Haugen sent his cards to the muck.
