Yoon Turns a Set

Level 3 : 75/150, 150 ante

A player opened with a raise to 400 and he was called by Brian Yoon in the cutoff and Sam Cohen on the button.

The flop was {8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Spades} and the player first to act bet 900. Only Yoon called.

The turn was the {4-Diamonds} and the player led out again, this time making it 1,700. Yoon called once more.

Both players checked on the {3-Spades} river. The original raiser showed {Q-Spades}{8-Clubs} for top pair, but Yoon turned a set with his {4-Hearts}{4-Spades} and he collected the pot.

Stoic Kurtzman Waits for His Rival's Hand Declared Dead

Level 3 : 75/150, 150 ante

Eric Kurtzman was betting 1,800 on the turn reading {8-Spades}{3-Hearts}{4-Spades}{A-Hearts} with just over 5,000 already in the pot. His opponent check-called leaving himself about 8,000 behind.

The river came {3-Diamonds} and the action was checked to Kurtzman again. Kurtzman announced he was all-in, covering his rival by roughly 2,000 or so.

It took about three minutes before someone at the table called the clock. The player received 30 seconds to make his decision and an additional five-five second countdown, and he used it all until his hand has been declared dead.

Kurtzman was stoic for the whole time and slowly sent his cards face down towards the dealer.

Level 3 : 75/150, 150 ante

Jerry Wong was in middle position, calling a 575-raise from under the gun. The small blind came along and they went three-way to the {A-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop. Wong called a continuation bet of 1,000 while the small blind escaped.

The turn brought another trey in the {3-Clubs} and the action was checked to Wong who fired 500, provoking a check-raise to 1,400. Wong called.

The {9-Spades} fell on the river and Wong's opponent checked again. Wong went for a small bet of 1,000, earning a call. Wong turned up {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for a boat and his opponent mucked.

Level 3 : 75/150, 150 ante
Greg Merson
Greg Merson

While the action of the hand is unknown, Michael Rossitto had the all in button in front of him on the river with the board showing {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. Greg Merson was on the button and he called Rossitto's shove. Merson had a stack of about 16,600.

Rossitto showed his {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for a missed flush draw while Merson was holding {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} for a full house. That allowed him to double up to just under 40,000 chips while Rossitto was left with right around 8,000.

Sinclair Whiffs a Huge Draw

Level 2 : 50/100, 100 ante

There was a raise to 300, and a three-bet to 1,200 from a player in middle position before Jack Sinclair called in the small blind. The original raiser called as well creating three-way action to a flop.

On the {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop, all three players checked to see the {8-Spades} on the turn. Action checked on the turn to the three-better who put out a bet of 1,200 which only Sinclair called.

Both players checked on the {6-Clubs} river. Sinclair showed {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} for a whiffed flush and straight draws and his opponent looked like he might muck, before saying "Oh!" and showing his {Q-Spades}{J-Clubs} for second pair to collect the pot.
