Sylvia Wins One Preflop

Level 4 : 75/150, 25 ante

Jesse Sylvia faced a bet of 425, but when the action was on him, he decided to three-bet. Everyone in the hand folded and the small preflop pot went to Sylvia.

Wilson Chan sat down on another table in the Brasilia room. Chan finished 31st in the Colossus a few days ago and is trying yet again to run deep in a large tournament field.

The flop fell {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Affleck continued for 600. His opponent called. The same action happened on the {8-Clubs} turn for a bet worth 1300.

On the {a-Spades} river, Affleck, after some thought, bet 2,000 and quickly folded when his opponent raised it up to 4,800.

He now has a short stack of 2,200.

Mizzi Sucks Out

Level 4 : 75/150, 25 ante
Sorel Mizzi
Sorel Mizzi

Sorel Mizzi got a part of his stack in the middle against a short-stacked player with about 3,000 left.

Mizzi had {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}, but he had to win against the {A-Spades}{A-Clubs} of his opponent.

The {9-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{A-Diamonds} flop was a bad one for Mizzi, but the {Q-Spades} turn gave him some more outs. There was a verbal reaction from the table when the dealer put down the {8-Hearts} river to give Mizzi a straight.

Juan Pardo Dominguez comes fresh off a third-place finish in the $10,000 heads-up tournament.
