Level 27 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
James Mackey
James Mackey

Joe McKeehen raised to 85,000 from early position and Horacio Chaves Cortes moved all in for 810,000. With the action on James Mackey in the small blind, he re-shoved all in for about 2,000,000. McKeehen folded and the cards were shown.

James Mackey: {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Horacio Chaves Cortes: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

The {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs} runout was no help to Chaves Cortes and he was eliminated.

Ruivo Chips Up

Level 27 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

On a flop showing {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{3-Spades}, 200,000 was already in the pot. Manuel Ruivo in the big blind checked, as well as Aaron Messmer in middle position and Kelly Wolfe on the button.

On the {4-Hearts} turn, Ruivo checked once more and Messmer bet 105,000. Both Wolfe and Ruivo called.

The three players checked on the {5-Diamonds} river and Messmer and Wolfe mucked their hands when Ruivo tabled {a-Spades}{6-Clubs}.

Souza Doubles Through Bansal Set Over Set

Level 27 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

There were about 450,000 chips already in the pot and the board read {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} when we got to the table. Michael Souza bet 200,000 from the big blind, Raghav Bansal raised from the cutoff to what looked like 625,000, Souza quickly moved all-in, and Bansal called with a covering stack.

Michael Souza: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Raghav Bansal: {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}

Both players had flopped sets but Souza had the best of it by miles and Bansal needed a lot of help to win the pot. The {3-Hearts} turn and {7-Clubs} river changed nothing and Souza took the pot for a massive double-up.

Kern Scoops a Pot with Aces

Level 27 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Arne Kern raised to 85,000 from under the gun and Anthony Profeta called from the small blind. James Leinenbach called from the big blind. They went three-handed to the {j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop and it checked to Kern who bet 120,000.

Leinenbach called and they went heads up to the {q-Diamonds} turn. Leinenbach checked again to Kern who bet 300,000 and Leinenbach called. The river was the {5-Clubs} and Leinenbach checked to Kern for a third time. Kern tossed out a bet of 380,000 and Leinenbach quickly called.

Kern showed {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} and Leinenbach flashed his {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs} before throwing his cards into the muck.

David Mock
David Mock

David Mock shoved from under the gun for 675,000 and Raghav Bansal called from the small blind to put him at risk.

David Mock: {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}
Raghav Bansal: {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}

Bansal had a big advantage and Mock needed help from the deck to survive. The board ran out {K-Spades}{J-Hearts}{2-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Bansal took the pot with kings full to end Mock's run in this event.

McKeenhen Eliminates Augo

Level 27 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Joe McKeehen
Joe McKeehen

A player in middle position opened to 90,000 and Chris Augo in the cutoff raised it 540,000. Joe McKeenhen on the button reshoved all in and the initial raiser folded.

Augo: {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}
McKeehen: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

Augo's hand was dominated, and a board {q-Hearts}{4-Spades}{5-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} sent him to the rail. McKeehen is now up to 2,000,000 chips after this hand.

Goodwin Doubles Through McKeehen

Level 27 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

It folded around to Noah Goodwin on the button and he moved all in for 450,000. Joe McKeehen called from the big blind, turning over {k-Spades}{10-Diamonds}, and would need to improve against the {a-Diamonds}{3-Spades} of McKeehen.

The {q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} runout was no help to either player, and Goodwin's ace high was enough to earn him the double-up.
