Broadway for Bansal

Level 23 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

With a substantial pot of about 250,000 already brewing and the completed board reading {J-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, Raghav Bansal bet 205,000 from under the gun into his lone opponent, Kyle Hartree, who was in middle position. He went into the tank for a bit and eventually called.

Bansal rolled over {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} for Broadway, Hartree flashed a {K-} as he mucked, and the dealer pushed the pot Bansal's way.

Aaron Messmer
Aaron Messmer

Aaron Messmer opened in middle position to 33,000 and Mario Prats Garcia in small blind reraised it to 105,000. After some thought, Weiyi Mo in big blind opted to fold. Messmer then four-bet to 500,000 and Prats Garcia chose to let it go.

Messmer has now a huge stack worth around 2,800,000.

Slater Doubles Up

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Kyle Hartree raised from the cutoff to what looked like 45,000, James Slater three-bet shoved from the small blind for 254,000, and after brief consideration, Hartree called with a covering stack.

Kyle Hartree: {A-Hearts}{10-Spades}
James Slater: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}

Slater had the preflop edge and Hartree needed help from the deck to knock him out. The board ran out {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, missing both players entirely, so Slater took the pot to double up.

Mokhammad Trips Up Liberto

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Joseph Cheong raised to 45,000 from under the gun and Kamel Mokhammad moved all in for 346,000 next to act. Justin Liberto reraised to 350,000 from the hijack and the rest of the table folded.

Mokhammad turned over {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} and was flipping with the {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} of Justin Liberto. The dealer fanned a flop of {k-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Spades} and Mokhammad paired his king in the window to take control of the hand. The turn {3-Hearts} left Liberto drawing to only two outs and the {k-Diamonds} river was not one of them.

Mokhammad improved to trip kings on the river to double through Liberto.

Nahum Stacks Chong

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Kfir Nahum opened to 50,000 from the hijack, Victor Chong three-bet shoved from the small blind for 261,000, and Nahum called to put Chong at risk.

Kfir Nahum: {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}
Victor Chong: {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}

Chong had a commanding lead and Nahum needed a lot of help from the deck in order to stack him. The {Q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} kept Chong ahead, he further improved to a set on the {A-Diamonds} turn, but the {10-Diamonds} fell on the river to give Nahum Broadway, so he took the pot to end Chong's tournament.

Joseph Cheong
Joseph Cheong

Manuel Ruivo opened from the button to 35,000. The small blind and Joseph Cheong in the big blind both called.

The three players all checked the {q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs} flop as well as on the {k-Diamonds} turn. A {2-Hearts} fell on the river and after a check from the small blind, Cheong bet 125,000. Both of his opponents folded and Cheong took down the pot. Cheong is up around 1 million now.

McVay Eliminates Threadgill with Ace-High

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

There was already about 325,000 in the main pot on the river on a board reading {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. Mark Threadgill moved all in for 324,000 and Bryce McVay began to talk through the hand.

"What do you want me to do," McVay asked a stone-faced Threadgill who sat silently.

"Usually when people do that on boards like this they have nothing," McVay continued as he stared across the table at Threadgill. After about 30 seconds McVay called.

"Good call" said Threadgill turning over his {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and McVay's {a-Hearts}{2-Clubs} was enough to send Threadgill to the payout line.
