Champlin Busts Bohn

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Spencer Champlin
Spencer Champlin

Spencer Champlin raised to 7,000 from the cutoff and was called by Hugo Alfaro on the button. Blake Bohn in the big blind also called.

The flop came {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{k-Spades}, Bohn checked. Champlin bet 20,000. Alfaro thought about it for a while, glanced at his cards again, and then folded. Bohn shoved for about 95,000 and Champlin snap-called.

Blake Bohn: {J-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Spencer Champlin: {K-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

Bohn had flopped a straight draw, but Champlin was currently ahead as he flopped two pair. The {j-Spades} on the turn gave Bohn some extra outs, but the {2-Hearts} on the river wasn't what he needed as he was sent to the payout desk.

On a raised pot and with a board {6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}, Peter Rosenblum from the big blind bet 20,000 and Jesse Sylvia made the call. A {2-Hearts} fell on the turn and after Rosenblum bet 25,000, Sylvia called once more. Both players the checked the {7-Diamonds} river.

Rosenblum showed {q-Spades}{9-Hearts}, but was dominated by the {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades} in Sylvia's hand and the latter earned the big pot.

Emmel Doubles Through Bosschaerts

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Jeosafat Cruz raised to 7,000 from the under-the-gun position and action folded to Matthew Emmel in the small blind who called. Tom Bosschaert was sitting in the big blind and checked out the stacks of his two opponents. He then decided to three-bet to 30,000. Cruz considered it for a bit and then folded. Emmel shoved for 111,500 in total and Bosschaert snap-called.

Matthew Emmel: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Tom Bosschaert: {A-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

The flop came {6-Hearts}{10-Spades}{j-Clubs} to give Emmel a set of tens but also provided Bosschaert with a gutshot straight draw. The {9-Clubs} turn and {5-Hearts} river bricked for Bosschaerts, however, and Emmel doubled up.

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

A short-stacked Jerome Sgorrano pushed his last 10,000 in the middle with {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades} from under the gun and was called by Jason Sagle who'd woken up in the small blind with {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}.

A king-high flop brought Sgorrano no help, and he was eliminated from the tournament.
