Timothy Batow had the betting lead on fifth street and check-called a bet from Scott Bohlman. On sixth, Bohlman led out and Batow raised it up. Bohlman called. Each player received their last down card.

Bohlman checked to Batow who tossed in a bet and Bohlman called. Batow announced kings up for two pair, but Bohlman had trips and an eight low to scoop the entire pot.

Tim Frazin bet with nines out on fifth street and Walter Twardus raised. James Woods called and so did Frazin. All players received a queen on sixth where Frazin bet and Twardus called for his last 700. Woods called as well. And they checked the river.

"Pair of nines," Frazin said as he failed to improve. Twardus showed three low cards for an eight low and Woods couldn't beat either of his opponents. Frazin and Twardus chopped his chips and Twardus survived in the tournament.

With action caught on sixth street, Jeff Madsen was betting into what already looked to be a big pot. Georgios Sotiropoulos called and then called another bet on the river.

"Flush," Madsen announced, showing for a flush and no low. Sotiropoulos couldn't catch any piece of the pot and mucked his hand.

George Rechnitzer held the betting lead throughout and fired away on every street. Frank Kassela was just recently moved to his table, two spots to the left. Kassela was his only opponent and made the call on every street.

Rechnitzer turned over the for trip queens and Kassela showed the for trip threes. Neither player held a low hand and the pot was shipped to Rechnitzer.

"Thanks for the seat change," Kassela joked with the floorman. "That was the biggest pot I lost all day."

Calvin Anderson Bubbles the $1,500 Stud Hi-Lo Event

Calvin Anderson (as seen in a previous event)

One of the most accomplished mixed-games players in the world, Calvin Anderson, was on a nub during the stone bubble. He was all in on fourth street, having a pair of threes along with two other wheel cards.

Anderson was up again Andrei Kaigorodtcev who had pocket eights in the hole and one low card out.

The action was frozen as the tournament floor staff waited for all other tables to finish their hands in progress. Kaigorodtcev cut out 8,100 in the meantime, matching Anderson's total.

Anderson spiked a great card on fifth street, but he bricked the rest and failed to make a low. He didn't improve his pair of treys either, and Kaigorodtcev locked the whole pot with two pair.

Anderson left his seat while the 90 remaining players are guaranteed at least $2,246.

Goddard Gets Chopped Up

Aristide Carozza held the betting lead throughout the entire hand but opted to check with Hoffman having four cards to a straight on his board. Hoffman took advantage of that and bet on every street. Both Carozza and Goddard called and Hoffman was the only player with a low hand.

That left the other half of the pot to be decided between Carozza and Goodard. Goddard first tabled two pair, jacks and tens, but Carozza had a bigger two pair with aces and kings to earn himself half of the pot.

With action caught on fifth street, Dmitry Chop had three spades on his board while Javid Javani hit a pair of threes. Each player had 6,000 in front of them from previous betting rounds. Both players checked on fifth.

Sixth street strengthened both boards with a third wheel card. They checked again.

Javani fired on the river and Chop shook his head. He started moaning about Javani's bet.

"You look like you really wanna call," Javani said.

Chop finally folded and Javani turned up the . "This was my river card," and eventually folded.

Elezra caught another wheel card on fourth street and fired, earning a call from Nelson. The other player was dealt a king and left the party.

Both Elezra and Nelson hit a ten on fifth street with Nelson pairing his board. Nelson bet out and Elezra briefly evaluated the situation before folding.
