Lewis Holds on a Scary Board

Level 8 : 300/600, 0 ante

Toby Lewis moved all in and was called preflop by the big blind and they both revealed their hands.

Toby Lewis: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
Big Blind: {9-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{q-Clubs} and Lewis would need to dodge some outs. The turn came the {5-Hearts}, giving his opponent even more outs, but the {3-Diamonds} on the river changed nothing and Lewis held on for a double up.

Tyler Groth
Tyler Groth

The board read {3-Spades}{k-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Spades} and Colin York put Tyler Groth all in. Groth took several moments before making the call and then flipping over {8-Spades}{k-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{q-Spades} for a king high flush, but York flipped over {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs} for a higher flush.

The {7-Spades} on the river changed nothing as York knocked out the defending champion and acquired some chips along the way.

Cada Wins One, Taylor and Gross Eliminated

Level 7 : 250/500, 0 ante

Joe Cada saw a four-way flop from the button when someone limped. Cada called and the blinds also came along for the ride.

The flop was {Q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and it checked all the way to Cada. He put out a bet of 1,000 and only got one player to call.

Cada's opponent led out on the {8-Hearts} turn with a bet of 2,200, but Cada raised to 6,500. The player opted to fold and the chips all went Cada's way.

Meanwhile, on the other tables, Jeff Gross and Esther Taylor have both been eliminated.

Tuhrim Starting to Pull Away

Level 7 : 250/500, 0 ante

Richard Tuhrim called an all in from a button opponent and the players then flipped over their hands.

Richard Tuhrim: {4-Spades}{2-Spades}{6-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{a-Clubs}

The flop came out {j-Spades}{3-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and Tuhrim was still behind. The turn came the {7-Hearts} to give him a pair, but he would still need some help. The river fell the {2-Diamonds}, giving Tuhrim two pair and enough to take down the pot. Tuhrim just cracked aces to add to his stack, though he was already in the chip lead so pulls further ahead.
