Farin's Kicker Plays

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Daniel Fuhs opened to 9,000 from under the gun and Alexander Farin re-raised to 22,000 from the cutoff. The button and blinds all folded and Fuhs called to go heads-up to a flop of {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}. Fuhs checked and Farin also checked behind.

The {5-Diamonds} landed on the turn and Fuhs checked again. Farin tossed in a bet of 23,000 this time and Fuhs matched him. The river brought the {6-Hearts} and Fuhs checked for the third time. Farin thought for a moment and then decided to also check. Fuhs tabled {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for a missed flush draw and Farin turned over {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for king-high as well, only he had a better kicker.
