Hartree Versus McLaughlin

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Kyle Hartree, one of the shorter stacks in the tournament, opened the hijack for 35,000. Big blind Robert McLaughlin called.

The two both checked the {7-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{J-Spades} flop, so the {2-Diamonds} on the turn was seen for free. McLaughlin led out for 55,000 and Hartree called.

The {9-Hearts} completed the board, making any ten a straight. McLaughlin bet a hefty 150,000. Hartree, with 206,000 behind at that point, tanked for some time before he called.

McLaughlin showed {A-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}, Hartree took it down with {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}.

Hasson Sends Rudolph Out

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

The player under the gun opened to 35,000. Gary Hasson called from one seat over. Christian Rudolph then three-bet shoved for 283,000 from the button. The small blind asked for a count, but proceeded to fold. The original raiser folded as well. Hasson went deep into the tank for a few minutes, and the clock was called on him. With two seconds left on the clock, Hasson threw in chips commenting: ''All right, I call.''

Gary Hasson: {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Christian Rudolph: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}

The board ran out {5-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Rudolph couldn't hit, heading to the rail instead.

Mercier Doesn't Take the Bait

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Luiz Duarte limped in from the small blind and small stack Jason Mercier checked from the big blind.

Duarte bet 16,000 on the {5-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} flop and Mercier called. They both checked the {4-Spades} on the turn and {3-Hearts} on the river. Duarte showed {A-Spades}{A-Hearts} for the flopped top set, and Mercier mucked.

"Good river for me," Mercier said with a smile.

Marquez Keeps Winning

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

We got there on the flop as Ana Marquez checked from the small blind on {8-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. Yorane Kerignard, on the button, bet 25,000 and saw Marquez check-raise to 80,000. Kerignard called in position.

The {A-Clubs} hit the turn and Marquez bet 110,000. Kerignard wasted no time calling.

With the {10-Diamonds} completing the board, Marquez bet 280,000. Before she had even released the chips, Kerignard inquired how much it was. The dealer counted the 280,000 and Kerignard tossed in a single 1,000-chip to indicate a call.

Marquez showed {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for the rivered straight and Kerignard mucked.

Filatov Gets Bozzano to Fold

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Anatoly Filatov opened to 26,000 under the gun. Enio Bozzano, on the cutoff, called, along with the big blind.

The flop was {8-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}. The big blind checked. Filatov bet 40,000. Bozzano called. The big blind folded.

The turn brought the {2-Spades}. Filatov continued for 125,000. Bozzano stuck around with a call.

The {j-Clubs} river completed the board. Filatov bet 230,000. Bozzano went deep into the tank, looking at Filatov and at the board back and forth, but proceeded to let go of his hand.
