Some Counts

Level 7 : 200/400, 50 ante

Sotiropoulos Barrels

Level 7 : 200/400, 50 ante

Georgios Sotiropoulos has been over in the Pavillion room building up his stack.

Most recently, he opened a hand preflop and, on finding a call, the dealer laid out {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{10-Spades} on the flop. There was a continuation bet by the Greek and another call from his opponent.

There was a {k-Diamonds} on the turn and Sotiropoulos barreled again, this time upping the price to 6,600, and it was enough to garner a speedy fold. Sotiropoulos now has 24,500 in play.

Maria Lampropulos

The {5-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{a-Hearts} flop was already out and there had been a bet of 1,600 and a call between Maria Lampropulos and one other player.

The {k-Spades} turn went check-check and Lampropulos checked the {10-Clubs} river. When her opponent checked behind, she turned over {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for a rivered set. The other player mucked and Lampropulos scooped the small pot.

Vornicu Chipping Up

Level 7 : 200/400, 50 ante

The player under the gun opened to 1,100. Valentin Vornicu called on the button.

The dealer spread a flop of {8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} that was checked around to the {a-Hearts} turn. The original raiser bet 2,200. Vornicu called. The {2-Clubs} filled up the board and the original raiser continued for 2,200. Vornicu raised to 8,000. His opponent tanked for a few seconds then proceeded to give up his hand.

Chip Count Updates

Level 7 : 200/400, 50 ante

Following the dinner break, a few players have been getting busy. Bertrand Grospellier just won a small pot. He opened preflop and got one call from the button. The flop was {9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and a continuation was enough to take it down.

Onat Takes from Farrell

Level 7 : 200/400, 50 ante

Niall Farrell opened to 900 under the gun. The player on the cutoff called, along with Daniel Onat in the big blind.

The flop came {3-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and was checked around to the {10-Diamonds} turn. Onat checked. Farrell bet 2,000. The cutoff folded. Onat called.

The river came the {6-Diamonds}. Both players checked.

''I got it,'' commented Onat before showing {q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}. Farrell revealed {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs} before sending his hand to the muck.

Deadman Loses Back-to-Back to Bust

Level 6 : 150/300, 50 ante
Simon Deadman
Simon Deadman

Simon Deadman has just come unstuck and it was in two consecutive pots. It was in the first, against Jason Deutche, that the Brit lost most of his chips and the very next hand, Roongsak Griffeth was there to take the rest.

It began with an open from Deadman to 600 and a call in the small blind from Deutsch, before the big blind made up the difference.

The flop came {k-Spades}{q-Spades}{8-Hearts} and Deadman continued for 1,200 in position. Only Deutsch came along and on they went to the turn. It was a {5-Diamonds} and once again Deutsch checked. This time Deadman made it 3,300 to go further and Deutsch made the call.

Finally, it was a {2-Diamonds} on the river and following another check, Deadman moved all in for 12,500, which was snap-called by Deutsch, who turned over {q-Clubs}{k-Clubs}. The two pair was good and the pot put him up to 30,500. Deadman was left with just 1,150.

The next hand, Deadman got the last 1,100 in and he was called by Deutsch on the button and Griffeth in the big blind. The flop came down ace high and after some betting on the flop and the turn, Deutsch got out the way and Griffeth turned over {a-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}, leaving Deadman's {k-Clubs}{10-Hearts} drawing dead.

Squeeze from Vieira

Level 6 : 150/300, 50 ante

In the last hand, there was an early-position open and two further callers involved by the time it came to Joao Vieira in the blinds. He elected to squeeze and found himself facing an insta-shove from the initial raiser. The other callers moved aside and Vieira followed suit, sending his cards into the muck. "I wanted to get heads-up," he said as his opponent took the pot. Vieira is still on 22,200.
