Visser Chips Up on the Bubble

Level 14 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

Omaha-8

This event is only two spots away until the money is reached. Frank Visser won a pot by making Dylan Wilkerson fold on the river to chip up nicely on the bubble.

Visser bet on the {4-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop and Wilkerson check-called. Wilkerson check-called again when Visser bet on the {J-Clubs} turn. The bet on the {Q-Spades} river was too much for Wilkerson and he folded his hand.

Gregoire Chipping Up, Rudd Stays Alive

Level 14 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

Omaha-8

With around 20,000 chips in the middle before the flop, there were still three players remaining in the hand. The dealer fanned the flop of {6-Hearts}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Brian Jordan checked from the small blind. Matt Gregoire bet in middle position and Ralph Rudd tossed in his last 200 chips from the cutoff. Jordan called to go heads-up with Gregoire on the side pot.

The {6-Diamonds} laned on the turn and Jordan check-called another bet from Gregoire. The river was the {2-Spades} and Jordan checked for the third time. Gregoire fired in another bet and Jordan called. Gregoire flipped over {a-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for a full house and an eight low. Jordan tabled {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{2-Clubs} for no high and the same low as Gregoire, who would be awarded three-quarters of the side pot.

Rudd, who was all in, tabled {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for the nut low and would take down half of the main pot to keep his tournament hopes alive.

Seidel Goes from Half to Three-Quarters

Level 14 : 500/1,000, 0 ante

PLO-8

The board read {a-}{8-}{6-}{5-}{5-} with the two hands already tabled. Erik Seidel held {a-}{6-}{5-}{2-} while his opponent showed {a-}{q-}{6-}{2-}. After the flop, it looked as though the two players were going to chop the pot, and they had nearly taken their money back already.

However, the runner-runner fives gave Seidel a full house to win the high and the two players chopped the low end, leaving his opponent with under 3,000 chips.

Wilkerson Check-Raises Pot

Big-O

Ryan Hughes opened to 2,000 from early position and was called by David Barraclough in the cutoff and Dylan Wilkerson in the big blind. The flop came {k-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and the action checked around to the {9-Spades} on the turn.

Wilkerson and Hughes both checked again and Barraclough tossed in a bet of 6,000. Wilkerson eyed up his opponent's stack and then raised the pot, making it 24,400. Hughes folded and Barraclough went into the tank for over three minutes. Looking back at his cards over and over, Barraclough still couldn't come to a decision. After a long time in the tank, Barraclough eventually folded, showing the {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. Wilkerson just raked in the pot without saying a word.

Omaha-8

Calen McNeil made it two bets preflop and Andrey Zhigalov and Allen Cunningham both called.

The flop was {A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and Cunningham and McNeil checked to Zhigalov who put in a bet. Cunningham was out but McNeil was in. McNeil check-called another bet by Zhigalov on the {J-Spades} turn, before it went check-check on the {3-Clubs} river.

Calen McNeil: {A-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}
Andrey Zhigalov: {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades}

McNeil and Zhigalov chopped the low portion of the pot with an eighty-six low, while Zhigalov took down the high portion of the pot all by himself.
