Kim Crackes Baumstein's Aces

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Gilsoo Kim opened to 9,000 from under the gun and Champie Douglas made the call on the button. Scott Baumstein in the small blind raised it to 26,000, and after some thought, both Kim and Douglas made the call.

The flop came {9-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and Baumstein pushed all his stack in the middle. Only Kim made the call and the remaining players tabled their cards.

With {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}, Baumstein had the dominating hand, against {q-Hearts}{q-Spades} for Kim, but a {8-Hearts} turn and {q-Clubs} river gave the winning hand to Kim, who eliminated Baumstein and climbed to 260,000 chips.

Ho Eliminates Tanase

Level 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Duy Ho opened for 11,000 and Leonard Tanase in the cut-off pushed his last chips in the middle. Ho made the call and both players tables their cards:

Duy Ho: {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}
Leonard Tanase: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}

It was a flip situation but the {j-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{q-Spades} run out improved Ho's hand into a full house and sent Tanase into the rail.
