Another Double for Georato

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Eric Baldwin opened from the button with a raise to 45,000 and from the small blind, Robert Georato moved all in for 231,000. Next to act, Mathew Moore snap called and Georato slammed on the table immediately, possibly thinking he'd been caught making a move. Baldwin laughed at the table slam and quickly folded.

Robert Georato: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Mathew Moore: {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}

"Well, you must be glad to see that," Stephen Song said.

"I just thought when he called so fast..." Georato said trailing off as the flop was dealt.

The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} and that gave Georato a set and it kept him in the lead the whole way, allowing him to double up to just under 500,000.

"It was definitely the table slam," Song joked after the hand.

Kirk Banks Eliminated in 14th Place ($14,730)

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Kirk Banks
Kirk Banks

Eric Baldwin opened from under the gun to 40,000 and when action got to Kirk Banks on the button, he moved all in, for just under 300,000. Baldwin quickly made the call and both players flipped over their hands.

Eric Baldwin: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Kirk Banks: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

It was a devastating flop for banks as the dealer fanned out an ace in the window flop of {a-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}. The turn came the {j-Clubs} and Banks was now drawing dead to the {j-Spades} on the river.

Baldwin has been on a heater for the last two levels and added another nice pot to his already growing stack.

Song Gets Kim to Make a Big Laydown

Level 24 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Stephen Song opened to 40,000 under the gun and Gilsoo Kim called from the big bind. Kirk Banks called from the big blind as well and the three took a flop.

The flop was {a-Hearts}{A-Spades}{4-Spades} and action checked through to the {7-Spades} on the turn. There, Banks checked and Song fired a bet of 80,000. Kim called while Banks folded.

The river was the {9-Diamonds} and Song led out again, this time betting 225,000. Kim dropped deep into the tank and thought for a couple of minutes before finally folding and showing {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} for three of a kind. Song took down the pot with no showdown.

"Nice bet," Kim said to Song after the hand.

"Thank you," Song replied.

A Double For Kim

Level 23 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

From early position, Kirk Banks opened with a raise to 34,000. Action folded around to the big blind where Gilsoo Kim accidentally clicked it back, making it 55,000. Action was back on Banks and he thought for a good while before shoving all in with a covering stack on Kim. Kim thought for a bit then eventually put in the chips to call.

Gilsoo Kim: {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}
Kirk Banks: {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}

The board ran out {10-Spades}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and that meant that Kim's fours would hold up, earning him a double up.

Moore Doubles Through Song

Level 23 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Stephen Song opened with a raise to 35,000 from the cutoff and Matthew Moore reraised all in from the big blind for 204,000. Song snap-called and the cards were turned on their backs.

Stephen Song: {J-Hearts}{J-Spades}
Matthew Moore: {K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}

The flop brought a king for Moore when it came {K-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and that put him well in the lead in the hand. The turn was paint, but it was the {Q-Spades} and that was no good for Song. The river {2-Hearts} was a blank as well and that meant that Moore would double to over 400,000.

The board read {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and [Removed:4] bet 53,000 from under the gun. JC Tran made the call from early position and the turn brought the {q-Spades}.
