Tran Puts Wheeler to the Test

Level 21 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Jason Wheeler opened to 23,000 from under the gun and he was called by Jay Farber on the button and JC Tran in the big blind.

The flop was {Q-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Spades} and action checked to Wheeler who put out a bet of 34,000. Farber folded while Tran called.

Both players checked on the {7-Diamonds} turn and the {10-Spades} came on the river. There, Tran put out a bet of 200,000 which was enough to put Wheeler all in. Wheeler thought for a bit then eventually decided to fold. That allowed Tran to take down the pot and chip up to over 600,000 while Wheeler is now one of the shortest stacks in the tournament with just about 13 big blinds.
